You can bring your dog to the uk but will need a pet passport. These can take a few months to obtain. You will need to have your dog vaccinated against rabies and then blood tested a few weeks later to make sure the vaccine took, your vet will then give you a certificate to say that he has passed the blood test. You will be given a little blue passport that you will need to show to passport control when you enter the uk.
As well as the vaccine your dog will also need to be microchipped and registered in your name, you will need to visit the vet 2 days before entering the uk to have your dog de-fleaed, de0-wormed and de-ticked and have the vet sign the passport to say it has been done. If you want to return to the uk in a year or two you will need to keep up with the booster vaccines, they need doing every 2 years, or yearly depending on which eu country you want to enter.
As i said it could take a few months to get all this done especially if your dog needs a second rabies injection. Luckily ours only needed 1.
This was alll relevant and correct when we had our dogs done 3 years ago but check the link below for more information. Sorry if i got anything wrong or if it has since changed. If everything i have put is still correct you can enter the uk and you dog will not need go into quarrantine, But please check out the defra website, as like i said things may have changed since we looked into it.

I am pretty convinced that like the majority of mainland countries you still have Rabies (La Rage) prevalent amongst your dogs. Britain has been free of Rabies for about thirty or so years and us dog lovers and owners would like it to stay that way. For this reason dogs travelling in to the UK have to have been vaccinated against and proved not to carry Rabies and several other illnesses. Speak to the Polish kennel club or Customs and Excise in your country. Hope this has been of help. The answers mentioning quarantine are correct it is six months at a H.M. Customs and Excise centre, which you have to pay for (food and lodging).

It is a 6 moth quarantine to take your dog into the UK, so really not worth it if you are going for only a couple months. He will still be in quaranine when you are coming home!

he could move Quarantine on arrival in Australia. it really is quite aggravating for any animal, fairly an elderly dogs, and he gained't unavoidably proceed to exist the ordeal. Animals can get very depressed in this kind of annoying confinement. i'd advise you both put off your emigration so that you should proceed to grant your dogs a first rate life in it really is totally last years or come across a strong buddy who you're honestly particular will love and look after your dogs in the united kingdom. someone has already printed the link to the Australian Embassy emigration suggestion so have a strong seem on the region because it has each of the records on length of quarantine, situations and expenditures.

As far as I know UK has lifted its quarantine requirements. I think you need to at least get some titers done to show that the dog is free of rabies. I would suggest to contact your "local" UK embassy. They should be able to give you an answer or at least point you in the right direction.

I think the dog has to go through something like 6 months in quarantine. It's also really expensive. I live in Brazil and I'd like to take my dog back to the UK but I won't be able to because I think it's cruel for the dog to stay for 6 whole months in quarantine, and also I don't think I could afford it!

I think the dog would have to go through 6 months (maby 6 weeks i forget) quarantine unless you have one of those computer chips added to it. Maybe you should contact customes and see if they can point you in the right direction.
