i have been working out for 20-60 minutes a day for the past 3 months. i haven't shed a crap load of weight but its comming off slowly. when doing the treadmill, i do intervals of fast pace walking and some jogging/slow running. i am a bit heavy so being able to do that amazes people and i don't get so out of breathe that i can't keep a conversation going. i also have been eating things like heatlhy start cereals and oatmeal for breakfast with a piece of fruit and lean cuisines and salads for lunch and no i don't use a lot if any dressing, i find that the vegetables give the salad alot of flavor, so no dressing still taste good. i don't put bacon bits or croutons either, just veggies and one hard boiled egg. i haven't been eating great with dinner but i've been incoporating a salad and water with what ever i end up eating and i portion control it, i really need help with that! so does this sound like i'm doing alright with trying to lose some weight and get healthy? oh and i do calorie

i'm shooting for 1400 calories a day! i actually lost that weight in one month. so you figure 2 pounds a week or so. i had to stop because of medical things but i'm back to it and so far that weight i lost never came back on. i just recentley lost another pound in less then 3 days!

You may need to see the doctor to be tested for a thyroid problem.

According to what you have written here, you really should have lost as much as 60 lbs, not just six.

Try getting more involved in the preparation of your meals. You get so little of Lean Cuisine or any others, because of all the additives they use to preserve it and make it taste half decent when it's had the crap cooked out of it, so you get a lot of "empty" calories.

If you prepare your meals from the raw state, you always get more of a portion, and it is better for you, because it still has all it's vitamins and minerals.

Poaching meat is very easy to do (I'm having to do this right now because of an ulcer) and doesn't add any calories. And remember, spices add no calories whatsoever, so use all the garlic and others that you want.

When you must eat a starch product (and you MUST every day to stay healthy) choose ones that are made from whole grains.

Investing in a good, common sense diet book, will pay you back three fold in health, happiness and weight lost.

I do not see anything you need to change. Looks like you are on the right track. The weight loss does seem kind of slow at 6 pounds in 3 months Thoth. Just make sure you are recording the correct number of calories in the foods you eat and try to limit the daily calories to under 2,000. But, I defiantly think you are on the right track.

I think you are doing fine. You want to lose weight slowly so it will stay off! I would suggest doing some weight training as well just to help tone things up. It will take time so be patient, but you will feel so much better about yourself it will be so worth it! Keep up the good work!

I am no expert but it sounds like you're off to a good start. Changing your lifestyle to a healthier one is one of the most importants things in keeping the weight off and remaining motivated. If you havent already you may want to add a little weight lifting to your work-out program to start building up your muscles.

Wow!, you sound so dedicated to what your doing, you are an inspiration.. .. have you ever tried to squeeze some lemon or lime juice on your salad ? I learned that at a diet control place , it was refreshing.. olive oil is good too to use. I am diabetic. so, watching my weight is a problem.. i keep watching, but it don't go away!.. I need to hit the treadmill myself.. after reading your question... and the conviction in your determination. you inspire me! You go girl, your on the right track!!! Good luck :) PS. i learned too not to eat past 6pm...
