If through driving..... From Toronto to New York City will take you about 8 hours.... and it's about 490 miles/789 km .

I know that from where I lived (45 min north of toronto) to down town NY, it was about 9 hours, as my Grandpa drove it every time he came to visit us.

It could be longer, depending on the border, if it is a holiday, if the roads are busy, etc.

its 8 hours i live 10 miles from nyc and have checked out the trip u go towards niagara falls and then through buffalo and the new york thruway
