I was wondering, is there an adoption center or an orphanage, (I don't care where in the world,) that you can go to, and chose the child that you like? Like you actually get to talk to them for a few minutes?

Thanks

Kind and respectable answers only, please

I am adopted. I was actually adopted when I was 8 years old. And honestly you can conntact SRS (social rehabilition services) in your area and they should be able to direct you to a place that you would be looking for. You could try being a foster parent also. The system needs good, honest, loving, caring people out there instead of people who are just in it for the money cuz i was hurt A LOT by people doing that. If you search on the internet search engine for adoption agencies you might find something there also. Best of luck and God bless you!

Look up orphanges and see where they are. I am sure they all have different rules and regulations, but I do believe that you can get to know the child before you make any decisions. There are alot of kids in foster care also that need to be adopted. Check with your local Child Services office to see what advice they can give you. Good Luck!

I am not sure, but I suggest some research on the agencies
that you are considering, and if you have friends or family members who have gone thru the process could give you some insight on the direction you should take, such as foster parenting .

Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't.

Try a foster program. It may be exactly what you're looking for.

Also, talk to an adoption center. You may be able to get more answers there.

mostly it doesn't work that way

maybe for older kids they should make sure the prospective parents are mostly sane and caring , trustable to not abuse anyone, etc.

then they could do trial adoptions, maybe have the kid stay with 40 families, and vice versa.

then let the kids choose
