Does anyone know the history of this 1920's memorial?

The only reference I can find to this is the following from 'The Kilkenny Advertiser' February 14 2007
"Lying on the ground in front: Jack Brett Mullinahone who was accidently shot at Donovans, Castlejohn on the 18th April 1921."
I viewed it in html as the PDF format was faulty. Unfortunately The Kilkenny Advertiser online does not have access to back copies as there appears to be a photograph accompanying this piece
