I am not sure, anytime I give advice in relationship I usually say be honest and communciate its the key to any relationship, even breaking up its good to be honest (not mean or cruel) but dont make promises you dont intend to keep. Anyway I think honesty is important I am always honest with my guy

Most people live a lie, so they don't really know what honesty is. Why do people spend lavish amounts of money on a date but have $20,000 in credit card debt? Not someone I would care to go further with.

because some people are afraid if they tell the truth that they will the other people and think that it will never come out. but it would be better to be honest, so that you can work out the problem, but that is my opinion,

Because we can't be honest to anybody - can you tell the girl next door you failed 8th grade math? you failed 10th grade bio? you have MPD? see how many people you are honest to, and why - that may answer your question...

Most people are not honest in releationships because they feel like they are not good enough for you and so they lie so that they feel like you are there equal but they already are.

Purely a defense mechanism. Honesty oftentimes hurt and to avoid getting hurt, we tend to take the easier route: deny and/or deceive. End of story.

It's very hard to be honest, because you either don't want to lose what you have or either you don't want to hurt the other person's feelings.
