it is possible to lose a stone in 3 weeks, but you'll just put it straight back on (and more) afterwards. You'll put your body in starvation mode and it'll begin using your muscle for energy, not the fat. You'll look slightly saggy (because you've got no muscle tone), pale and be quite weak and tired all the time. You might even smell of ketones (acid drop type smell) due to break down of fat for metabolism purposes.
Not the kind of holiday memories you'd want.
If you're serious about losing weight, you could do a lot worse than go to the gym and get a personal trainer to work out a regime for you. A stone in 3 weeks in not realistic, but 4 to 5 lbs is a sensible weight loss in this period and it'll stay off.

Unless u want to gain it all back a week after (week 4), don't think of loosing 3 stone, make ur goal to loose as much as poss in time allowed.
It is soooo true that a high protein, low carb regime is best. It's tough at first, but if u cut out bread, pasta, potatoes and load up on veg, friut, fish, the weight will drop off. Also, DO NOT EAT AFTER 7.00 p.m. (I went w/out eating dinner for 4 weeks, amazing!)
Needles to say, if u don't "shake ur bootie", u might as well starve........ Exercise, even if just two sessions of hard power walking a day, is ESSENTIAL. Just break a sweat for min 30 min....U don't have to run a marathon, just move...The more u move, the mor pounds will melt off
Good Luck

Someone at work gave me a diet thingy it's supposed to be what the cardiology department give to overweight patients when they need to loose weight rapidly for an operation it is a 7 day diet an apparently if you follow it exactly you can loose 10-15 pounds in a week!
Soup Recipe
3-4 large onions
1 bunch of celery
3-5 carrots
2 large green bell peppers
2 small tins tomato puree
1 large tin whole tomatos
1 packet of onion soup mix
seasoning to taste (not salt) - may inclde pepper, curry/ chillie powder, parsley etc.
The soup burns more calories to digest than what is consumed, so the more you eat the more you lose!
You must follow the below exactly and not cheat (it's only for a week so don't worry too much) & no alcohol!
Day 1
Eat only soup and fruit (not bananas) cantaloupe or watermelon are highly recomenned as much of these as you like and drink only water
Day 2
Eat only soup & vegatables (raw steamed or cooked in the broth) A baked potato with a little marg is ok for lunch try to avoid peas, beans and corn
Day 3
Eat soup & vegetables and fruit (do not eat bananas and do not have a baked potato)
Day 4
Eat soup & bananas. You should eat at least 3 bananas and drink 2 glasses of non fat milk (this will replace carbohydrates, potassium, proteins and calcium). Drink as much water as possible
Day 5
Eat soup & drin at least 6-8 glasses of water (nessicary to flusk out exces urie acid from your body). You may have up to 20oz lean beef or chicken (without skin) along with 6 fresh tomatos or 200gm tin tomatos
Day 6
Eat soup & drin at least 6-8 glasses of water. Today is the good day you can eat 2-3 lean steaks or chicken without the skin and as many leafy green vegetables as you want (do not have a baked potato)
Day 7
Eat soup with only rown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and vegetables
Stuff your self you can eat as much as you like (the more soup you eat the more you lose) so long as you follow the rules exactly, and if you have lost more that 15 pounds please wait at least 2 full days before you continue to diet as it would be dangerous.

Ok so you want to lose weight. Ideally excercise and a good diet helps, But I lost just under a stone on the Special K cereal. I ate it morning , noon, and had a very low fat dinner at night, and ate it before 6pm as your metabolisum slows right down after this time i believe. hope this helps, when feeling like you wanna eat chocolate i would reach for a large glass of water and an apple.

The diets listed above, such as the cabbage soup diet, and predominately fluid/soup based diets, can be dangerous to your health. The diet proposed for a pre-surgery patient is also very dangerous for a person not about to undergo surgery. These diets work through rapid water loss (not fat) from glycogen stores in the body, and as such do not stabilise weight once completed, and the effects are reversed when normal nutrition is resumed. I repeat, the use of these diets without further information from a health professional such as a dietician or a gp, are hazardous to your health.
Effective weight loss results from an imbalance between energy input and energy output. Eating a balanced diet of reduced (but not minimal) portion size and raising your activity levels will result in weightloss. Try to be more active (but do not use the fact that you have been on a run to reward yourself with a cake), simply eat healthily, drink lots of water and be more active.
When you starve your body (as in fad diets) your body puts into motion chemical pathways that slow your metabolism to conserve energy. Eating well and exercising will prevent the slowing of metabolism and ensure continued weight loss.
It would be unwise to harm your health for cosmetic reasons, you may not reach your target in such a short time, but you'll be on your way there.

OK, before i start, are you sure you need to lose that much weight?
it is alot to lose in a small amount of time, so be careful!
Just watch what you are eating carefully, and everytime you want some food, either look at your stomach/legs! or step on the scales.
Exercising helps, but dieting is the quickest way to go. Sit uos etc dont help you lose wight, but they DO tone the body.
Go to the gym,
Dont drink high calorie drinks, drink plenty of water which helps to digest your food (i drink 2 litres a day) and just eat helthily.
Cut the carbs!

Cut out bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, sweets and alcohol from your diet, have protein like chicken or fish and lots of veg (not just salad, have broccolli, corgettes, peppers etc) and try to do some hard cardio excercise at least 4 times a week and try to go for at least a 20 min walk on the days you're not training and you'll loose the weight.

do you want to keep the weight off?? if so there is no way you can lose that much safely in 3 weeks.
the ONLY way to lose weight safely and keep it off after is to take in less calories than you are expending. the easiest way is a calorie controlled diet and exercise.
if you do that correctly you should aim to lose no more than 2 pounds a week. that way you are much more likely to keep it off in the long term as you change your eating habits for the better.
a website that helped me lose 2 and half stone and keep it off was
www.weightlossresources.co.uk
its a great system of the correct way to lose weight.
good luck!!

If you are near a beach get stones and throw them for as long as you can each day. Try skimming and high throws, chucking etc.
This is how to get rid of stones.
