or does he just get jealous? We are friends now but we used to date. We basically broke up because we needed to grow up and do things on our own. When he finds out I am with someone else he gets really quiet and I do not hear from him much, but when its over here he comes. Also every once in awhile I get a message or something from him saying "I miss you" or "I think we could work out". I do not know what to think.

It seems to me like he still has feelings for you. Why don't you 2 talk about. If he still needs to mature and grow up than tell him that he needs to make some changes before you can give him another chance.
