The qualifications for joining the Royal Air Force depend very much upon which job you want to perform in the Royal Air Force. If you have a bunch of A-levels and are interested in the technical side of things, then you should think about working with the Royal Air Force as a technician of some sort.
If, on the other hand, you have much higher ambitions and want to become a Royal Air Force pilot - then you'll need lots of qualifications including that bunch of A-levels.

The Royal Air Force has a glorious history. If you can find out something of that, especially their role in the Battle of Britain, it will stand you in very good stead. Remember, if you have learnt some of the history of the Royal Air Force, this will show you have a keen interest.

It all depends, If you want to go in as an Officer, you need 5 GCSE's and 2 A-Levels, to go in as a technician (Non-Officer) you need a minimum of 5 GCSE's, for the lower paid trades, you need less... At least that's what they were when I joined up 6 Years ago...

Depends what you want to do you dont need any to do some of the less skilled trades such as driver,gunner etc.
