I have been reading the section since May 2006, I did not begin to answer until February 2007. It's a subject I am passionate about, I don't answer here for points. As long as there are illegal aliens in my country, I will be interested in discussing it.

Most of the people on here that are regulars are intelligent,thinking people with sound arguments for their views. Both pro and anti have good people on this forum. Then you have the racists from both sides that only want to stir up trouble,hate and raise tempers with race related name calling.
You also have people that are learning from this category,younger people that are in this forum to read,learn,question and perhaps offer a fresh point of view. Its a tough category,emotions run high at times. But I wouldn't be in any other category but immigration. I like to read all the questions and to try to answer the ones that really interest me. I learn something new everyday ..

A few days at least. This category sure has a lot of mad people about it.I wonder if our leaders even read these boards. so they canfind out just how the general public feels about this issue and our lives being affected by it.

I've been here since July. I need to take a break every once in a while, and whenever I return...I find that nothing has changed. The same people still have the same agenda.

The marches woke me up.
My opinion of the category? It used to be better.
People should not be able to report people until they are level 3. What happens is people who just want to stifle someone's ideas seem to report them into oblivion, and eventually it stops being fun.
This has happened on both sides, unfortunately.

I am amazed by some of the posters views on illegal immigration.
I don't understand situational ethics nor do I understand how someone could believe that it is okay to break the law if that is what is easiest for you to do.
The high road may not always be the smoothest road but it will always be the right road.

Been there and done that ....for a while now.
It's very activating and to some degree helps one realize the stupidity as well as the sensitivity of the issue and the beans that roll around in it.
It provided information up to a point. Then you have to dig for yourself.
Someone kinda smart said it once.
"Don't throw your pearls ...before Swine"
At least not for long I would add.

In total, about six months.
After a while it gets easy to ID the trolls and simply ignore them.
