I'm sorry, but the argument of atheists having no morals was based upon a typo. The original assertion read thusly:
Atheists have no molars.
This is because fun-me-dental-ists believe atheists incapable of understanding the tooth.

I happen to be an atheist myself. It's not that I don't believe in a higher power, I just think I should be a good person for the sake of being a good person, not for the sake of going to heaven or not going to hell.
Anyway, I think often times, non-atheists confuse religious morals with phylisophical morals. I hate when people assume that just because I don't practice religion, I'm a bad person. I don't let religion influence who I am morally. I let my personal beliefs about society and what's best for it do that. If being kind to someone because I feel I should be and not because that's what God wants is immoral, then yes, I'm an immoral atheist, but don't ever say that I don't think for myself.
So good for you on the not lying and paying for your cable. I don't know if I'd be THAT Moral, since I feel that the price for cable is outrageous and yet you still have commercials that you have to watch, but that's just me.

It's refreshing to see someone like you on here. I'm agnostic. I am one of the most honest, moral people you could ever meet (even though I've been "living in sin" for the last 3 & 1/2 years). My philosophy is "do no harm & help those you can". I've taken in a lot of animals over the years, both as adoption & fostering. Also a few people. I was married for 11 years the first time, & left him when he started on crack. 9 years the second time to a man who was one of my attempted rescues. He was supposed to be taking meds & when he stopped, he became violent. I have one daughter, from the first marriage, who was an IUD baby. I am pro-choice. I chose to keep her. She's 28. I had a lot of friends & associates die over the last year. I'm not afraid to die, because I've never intentionally hurt anyone. I haven't seen that South Park Episode, but I heard about it. I'm sure I'll catch it. Keep the faith.....lol!

I believe in God (I am a born again Christian). Morality of right and wrong are on the hearts of all men (Romans 2:14-15). Sin is not something wrong against people (or the cable company), sin is disobedience to God! Therefore it doesn't matter how many nice things you do for people or the cable company because everyone's issue is their relationship between themselves and God. The "nice acts" are not part of that equation. I think atheists are moral people! They feel guilty and do the right thing because God created us that way (Romans 2:14-15). In the same way just if I didn't believe in gravity wouldn't mean that I would stopped being effected by it!
Repent for your sins, believe and follow Jesus (Matthew 5-7).

!) You weren't getting free cable illegally, it was a promo. They took it off because you complained.
2) you acted moral only because you wanted to brag about it later (to us I assume) so it is not moral.
3) Who said that atheists are not at least nominally moral? Everyone is created in God's image, so everyone has a conscience. Likewise, everyone is born imperfect, so we all have a sin of some sort that needs forgiveness for. You have proven that your particular weakness is something else besides stealing, that's all. just because your weakness is different than someone else doesn't make you better or worse. The fact that you consider yourself "moral" implies that perhapse you are looking down on people with drug problems, perhaps? Excessive pride is a sin too.
4) But at least you were honest. Kudos to you & your husband for that!

we've writings from Plato, Julius Caesar, etc. We even have writings from others who knew Plato, Julius Caesar, etc. historic writings truthfully do exist so which you heavily isn't waiting to faux that writing would not very final that long. as top, we by using some ability have the letters from Paul, and those are truthfully some some years older than the time on an analogous time as the Jesus concepts supposedly got here approximately. So precise off the bat, i'll confirm which you're ignoring inconvenient preparation. ideal preparation could incorporate multiple, first-hand, cutting-edge-day aspects that believe one yet yet another are seen to be preparation. regardless of the reality that, nameless aspects that are 'attributed' to human beings and characteristic been written some years after the events passed off are truthfully no longer seen preparation. bills that don't believe one yet yet another, like the 4 gospels, do no longer count type decision as preparation. i'm happy you recognize that the bible in view that's would not count type decision as preparation. As for no count type if or no longer i'd have self assurance the preparation, i'm obliged to have self assurance preparation. for this reason that's called 'preparation'. that's fairly elementary which you will declare that persons could ignore appropriate to the preparation as quickly as you haven't any longer have been given any. As for you believing in preparation, did you be conscious of there is definitely no preparation that thousands of thousands of Jews have been held as slaves in Egypt for centuries? Why do you assume the Egyptians, who wrote each and each concern down, under no situations stated the events of the Moses concepts?

While your sentiment is to be apreciated, it's not only unneccessary to defend yourself against those who disagree with your religious views, it's pointless as well. They will judge you solely on that.
You could run into a burning elementary school, and singlehandedly save 6 children from their deaths, risking your own life for theirs; the moment some people found out you were an atheist, they would begin making comments along the lines of "hope she liked those flames". It would become what defined you, in their eyes, not just a part of who you are.

This points to the fact that if an atheist has morals there MUST be a God. Where and how would morality "evolve" if there was no God? Honesty is a higher quality that demonstrates we were created in God's image! Animals are not concerned with honesty and justice and mercy! People are! This is because God has created them to have the same qualities that He does! We are His offspring! God has also blessed you with free will and you are free to believe what you want! In any case, you are to be commended for your honesty!

So, you are trying to blow your own horn? Whats your point? Who cares? So you claim to have a few little morals. What about the rest? One good little moral doesn't make you a moral person. If you are an atheist why are you even in religion and spirituality section except to try to raise the ire of people that believe in God. Get a life and go do something constructive.

Being good is within everybody's capability.
We have the power to choose good or evil.
But say if we are all choosing to do good just as a means to an end in itself, it would be utterly pointless. Sure it would be nice to live in peace and harmony...but for what?
Why not steal, drug up, have promiscuous sex and get good at it, then committ an elaborate suicide? It wouldn't essentially change anything permanently. Death wins out right??
If this life is all we have our hope in, what a shame!
