i'm guessing that the kitten won't have long gone very a techniques - they tire actual and get scared. additionally, huge open areas intimidate very youthful cats and scardy grownup cats. They willot want to "detect" in such places. seek under hedges, and trees and particular bolting or hiding places interior the instant neghborhood. If that does no longer convey effects, set humane traps baited with stinky cat food. you could borrow one from a humane take care of. there is not any way that the kitten will walk accross a large open area until she is making an attempt to get to a secure place to cover on the different part. yet she'll try this onlt if some thing has threatened her adequate to need to bypass it. If all else fails on the instant, wait until the following day - the kitten might take place hungry later at night - whilst all is quiet. to help her locate her some time past, placed her kitty muddle via the porch. She'll scent it and it will act like a beacon.

There is a good chance the kitten will come back since it is four months old, if she has had it for a few mos. Oftentimes, a person will pick up a kitten that is wandering and take it to their house and keep it inside. She may want to put up flyers in her neighborhood with a photo of the kitten. Also put up flyers in area supermarkets, many have bulletin boards or will let you put one up in their window if you ask.
Same with Vets offices in the area. Then check with area shelters to be sure no one has turned her in at one of them.
GL on finding the kitten.

I would be out looking for her!! This is way my cats are indoors only!! Hopefully you find her or she finds her way back home she still is kind of young to be outside and on her own. The odds are not really that good but maybe. good luck!!
The only way the mirco chipping will help is if the cat is picked up by animal control. They will scan her to see if she has a chip

Well done for microchipping her as this is your best chance at getting her back ! Keep on calling her and if she is food orentated rattle her food bowl and open a can of food to try and tempt her back, or get one of her toys that squeaks or makes a noise and SQUEAK IT !!! Put up posters and inform any animal centres that you have lost a kitten as if any kittens have been handed in they will know to contact you (they should be able to do this anyway as your kitten is chipped)
Good luck in finding your friends kitten :o)

I've read that a lot of the time when indoor pets get outside they end up just panicing and hiding. Make sure you check bushes and under porches, etc. close to home. Let your neighbors know that the cat is missing so if they see it they can let you know. Good luck.

It all depends...how much has she been outside before?
Are you near any busy main roads?
Even if you are, this may not be something to worry about, as most animals have natural instincts which help them.
Im sure it will be fine, although i am very sorry of this news. There is not much i can say or do to help...

I think that there is still a good chance she will be found or come back. In my experience they can sometimes be gone a couple of weeks and still be found or come home. Good Luck to your friend.

If she is lost outside I'd say you have little to no chance of getting her back. I'm sorry - but this is the reason why kittens and puppies need to be kept inside at all times.
A microchip wont do jack if the cat isn't wearing a collar with ID - and it wont protect a cat from being attacted by dogs, hit by a car, or climbing a tree.
