I don't think Jesus existed in the way portrayed in the bible, and certainly the bible is not a history book or an autobiography of Jesus.
The early Rabbinic record of the Jewish faith , a document called "Dialogue with Trypho", written by St Justin Martyr circ 160 AD recorded what is basically an argument that Just Martyr had with a Jewish man called Trypho. In this document, Trypho mentioned a "groundless report" and also clearly and unequivocally stated the early church had "invented" Christ. In the famous Ante-Nicene Library can be seen this passage that reads " "But Krist, if he has indeed been born and exists anywhere is unknown...And you, having accepted a groundless report, invented a Kristo for yourself."
I am sure I could fill several pages with other references that question the historical accuracy of the life of Christ, but the point is, that belief in the concept, the teaching and practise of true Christianity is ultimately good, the fact that it is based on a lie is fundamentally irrelevant.

The answer to this is the trinity. I don't feel qualified to explain as I don't think I have completely gotten my brain wrapped around this one. However the basics are the trinity is three parts of a whole. God the Son, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. A simplistic example is an apple. The core, the flesh, and the skin all make up an apple but are different in their own way. I believe Jesus is the son part of the trinity. For those who claim Jesus was a man and ate and performed human functions: You have a mother and a father and you have qualities of both of them. You got your eyes from your mother and your big feet from your dad. Likewise Jesus is the son of man (Matt 17:9) and the son of God(Matt 17:5,John 1:34). As the son of man he had qualities of man, he died, he ate, he cried, he felt pain. As the son of God he had qualities of God, he is eternal, he has power over death, he is perfect. This is what I believe based on the Bible.

According also to Islam, Isha (Jesus) is a great Prophet and Mohammed (PBUH) is the last messenger of God.
Catholics in early stage said that Jesus is the Son of God. In these later century, it was added and almost concluded that Jesus is God that went went down and took human form to sacrifice Himself for saving mankind from their sins. So now, anybody call God in the name of Jesus and some sects even claim that the name of God is Jesus.
Now if the name of God is Jesus, isn't it blasphemous to baptise someone in that name? How about those who are already carrying that name? For your main question, I would consider Islam's claim about him. I am not a Muslim but along this line, I believe Christians went overboard. For me it is clearly a big deception.....www.thename.ph

Yes. Jesus is God, Jesus is God the Son and Jesus is Prophet, Priest and King. Christianity teaches all of these. What's so complicated about that? I'm son, father, husband, friend, cousin, boss, employee, teacher, businessman, Uncle, partner.

Did the God need a spouse and a son of his own, after billions of years of bachelor childless life, that too only 2000 years back. Creator of universe is free from the human thinking of having a spouse or children. None is born to Him and He is born to none. He is eternal. He is the supreme power and capable of doing anything. He never neglected the people and sent his messengers (Prophets), books & scripts for their guidance at all periods/places. All His messengers taught the same to the people and guided them, with a little changes according to the period & place. After their demises, people started worshipping them and some called one the son of God, contrary to their teachings. Such teachings & guidance are completed upon the Last Prophet & Last Book, who certified and ratified all the previous Prophets and Books and repealed their teachings. The teachings & guidance of the Last Prophet & Last Book will remain in force at all periods and places till the Day of Judgement. They falsified the concept of Creator's wife and son.

The word 'God' is greatly mis-understood.
It simply means "mighty one".
However, some are mightier than others.
The Bible refers to Satan as a god.
If you have any authority over others, you could be referred to as a god.
Jesus is a god ....but NOT the Almighty God.
The mightiest (of all the mighty) is the one most people know as God.
His name, according to the Bible is: Yahweh.
Jesus happens to be a 'son of God' in the sense that Yahweh created him.
He is not a 'son' in the earthly, human sense of the term.

Jesus was a Messenger of God, with absolutely no divinity whatsoever.

Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "
[John 20:17]
