Carne Asada

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb Top Round Steak Or Boneless Chuck Steak, Cut 1 1/2-Ins Thick

MARINADE:
1/4 c Red Wine Vinegar
2 tb Oil
1 ts Sage Leaves
1 ts Summer Savory
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Dry Mustard
1/2 ts Paprika

BASTING SAUCE:
2 tb Steak Sauce
12 Flour Tortillas, 5 to 8 Inches In Diameter
2 md Onions, Sliced Paper Thin Or Chopped
4 oz Whole Green Chilies, Cut Into Strips
Softened Butter Or Margarine
Salsa
Guacamole

Instructions:
Place steak in plastic bag or non-metal baking dish. In small bowl, combine marinade ingredients. Pour over steak, turning to coat. Seal bag or cover dish; marinate at least 6 hours or overnight in refrigerator, turning once or twice.
When ready to barbecue, drain meat, reserving marinade by placing in small saucepan. Add steak sauce to marinade; blend well. Heat on grill. Place steak 4 to 6 inches from medium-hot coals. Cook 30 to 40 minutes, turning once, or until desired doneness, brushing occasionally with marinade. Meanwhile, heat foil-wrapped tortillas on grill until thoroughly heated and steaming, wrap in cloth napkin or towel to keep warm.
To serve, cut steak across grain into thin slices. Spoon any remaining marinade over slices. Arrange steak, warmed tortillas, onions, chilies, butter, salsa and guacamole on a large platter. Spread butter on tortilla; top with meat and any combination of vegetables or sauce. Roll up to eat.
Note: Be sure to heat basting sauce thoroughly to ensure safety for use as a sauce at the table.

CARNE ASADA

3-4 pounds thinly sliced New York steak
1/2 bottle Italian dressing
1/2 bottle Corona beer
2-3 teaspoons of crushed red pepper
2-3 teaspoons of crushed garlic
juice of 3-4 limes
salt, pepper

Marinate overnight or for at least four hours in the refrigerator and then grill.

My husband is Mexican so I make this all the time. Marinate your skirt steak overnight in beer and lime juice, and cilantro. Add a little salt and pepper or some Carne Asada seasoning. Then the next day put it on the bbq grill. Put it in some tortillas with some salsa and avocado and it is the best.

Ingredients


skirt steak 3 lbs
orange 3 sliced in half
onion 1 sliced thin
Seasoning
garlic powder 3 Tbsps
seasoned salt 2 Tbsps
pepper 1 tsp
oregano (dried) 2 Tbsps
Cooking
vegetable oil 6 Tbsps
Tacos
tortilla 20
onion 1 diced
cilantro 1 cup chopped
lemon 6 each cut into 4 wedges.
salsa 1 cup

Directions
Combine the garlic powder, seasoned salt, pepper, and oregano. Combine thoroughly.


In a baking dish spread out a layer of the onions.


Place a piece of the meat over the onions.


Squeeze 1/2 an orange over the meat.


Sprinkle the seasoning to taste over the meat.


Repeat the process with the remaining pieces of meat and continue to create a stack of meat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.


Heat a frying pan over high heat with a 1/2 teaspoon of oil and fry the pieces of meat for about 3 minutes on each side until done. Repeat the process with the remaining pieces of meat.


Warm up the tortillas using a skillet. Dice up the meat.

this is real easy take any steak you like sprinkle it with lime juice and salt ,,or beer ,lime and salt...grill it and put on tortillas with any toppings you like

another one i like is take the meat put it in a zip lock bag with olive oil,parsley,green onion,lime or lemon,salt garlic chopped .let set in fridge over night and make the same was grill it or cook slow on the stove topped and just let it sort of braise eat with tortilla with toppings as you like ,i love fresh salsa ,tomatoes ,garlic.cilantro,onions,jalapenos add lemon or lime if you like salt to taste
