Oh I mean the foods.
Oreos are yucky, too creamy on the inside. That white fatty goo is gross! Do you know what that crap is made out of? I just scrape that nasty white mess off the black cookie and just "eat the cracker". It's much tastier that way.
Bananas are another food I can't stand. They have no substance (at 80 calories per 6 inches worth and pretty darn tasteless) and pretend that they can "hang" with the trees (bananas are actually a shrub.) They're "cheap" too. Besides, they all bunch together with their brethren for support.

arienne3,
I've had Filipinos (the biscuit, that is, easy now onion-skinned people out there!) while i was in Europe. They're similar in taste to the Fibisco choc. crackers in the Pinas, which is to say they're pretty tasteless too. I imagine naming a cookie after a nationality could be racist especially since the Filipinos biscuits are made in Spain, of all places--so there are all kinds of implications there. Also, I've never heard of anyone else naming a food product after a certain nationality either.

There's nothing wrong with the foods. I like both but not too much.. I'm grateful I can have both without allergies or something.
Really, I think it's the person who are allergic to it is having a major problem. (could be physically, physiologically, or even mentally).
You know.. even if they like it but their mind is too powerful that they will suppress it & become anorexic.
If they are allergic with that particular foods They should stay away from it or else they will have 'anarsaca' or generalized edema from cephalo caudal..
"cheap" bananas is healthy for you don't you know that?
Nevermind the trees coz it's just a shrub.. & what is important is the fruit. It is rich in potassium without that you will have hypokalemia Which is not good coz you can't stand and walk the way you are doing right now ifever you acquire a nutritional imbalance.
Oh well... the less fortunate people will never realize that since they just can't swallow such foods as cheap banana that's why they are contented to eat the oreos in their own way and think that the outside is more better than the inside. If you don't like Oreos there are still cheap but healthy bananas but if you don't like both then try to eat something that can prevent you from being anorexic. Maybe an Oreo outside & put some Peanut butter for the inside or the filling. Nuts are good for those who doesn't like the two foods mentioned earlier. They said it's food for the brain.
it's a good thing Y/A in Phils. is talking about foods right now. Come to think of it.. Even if they hate that food they are still happy talking about it. I just can't help but to smile such discreet appreciation with the foods. (wink).

Well, Well, Well.... You just couldn't help it.:)) I like the biscuit part but not the fillings of Oreos. There are certain types of bananas I like, such as Lacatan, Latundan and Saba. I don't like the tasteless Cavendish, the only banana known to the other parts of the globe.
What about the other branded Nabisco biscuit - Filipinos. Saw these on the supermarket shelves in South America. Have you seen or tasted them? Nice and crunchy. See picture on the site below. I don't like the implication, but I like the biscuits, but again not the fillings. As expected I saw some protests against it when I got home. The news has reached home.
Anyway, who cares? Those who don't have it, try many ways to have that Filipino color.. the nice brown or tan. I love my skin color.

I have been seeing that word in this section recently. I know what oreos mean, white on the inside, black on the outside. But what about banana, what does it stand for? Or what is it a metaphor for?
Literally, anyhow, I like oreos a lot, i mean it's sweet and creamy it just tastes great! Banana... it depends. I like ripe bananas, they're sweet. But the green ones, you can't really eat them as such because they have a bitter, sticky aftertaste. Banana is also good when combined with other food like ice cream, salad, halo-halo and turon... you gotta try those :)
Add:
Wow, I learned another word today, marsh mallow. And I thought I knew this word since I was 5. You guys are cool with word play. I kinda get now what banana means, and I wonder... if anyone of you thinks you're a tree, then what kind of "tree" are you? Barky on the outside, rotting on the inside? Feed my ever growing vocabulary.
Oh, thanks qt. I overlooked your answer, but I know now. Thanks.

If you mean the food I like Oreos with coffee and I simply love bananas.
Somehow I do not think you are referring to food.
As for your innuendo's I think the majority of people have a bit of Oreo and banana in them and surprise, surprise vice versa.
How many marsh mellows do you see tanning themselves to get that brown skin?
People should be happy and contented with what and who they are but there is no harm in copying some of the better traits that exist within different races.
I am a marsh mellow.

gameplan_xtreme -- banana, yellow on the outside, white on the inside..accdg to Rabbityama from other questions here..
Anyways.. I don't really like Oreo especially the white filling, and if i eat it i also scrape out that white filing.. i just love oreos mixed in ice cream..
I seldom eat banana alone.. i like Turon, Saba con hielo, Halo-halo, etc. or sometimes i spread on some peanut butter so i can eat the fruit..

Very witty Well, almost got me there.
Oreo is too artificially sweet on its own. Prefer to wash it with creamy milk. Used to think that the milk will be absorbed by the dark cookie, perhaps lighten it up a bit -never happened yet.
As for the banana, It is a plant, not a tree. Trees have woody trunks. This is what is nice about bananas: not woody.
But then, that's just me.

I can do Oreo's but unfortunately I'm like the previous answerer. I can't eat Banana's because they make my throat have that warm and itchy feeling at times (as do some peanuts/fresh fruits) then they end up making my stomach hurt sometimes badly. The sad thing is my family used to think I was faking when I was little and made me eat them anyways! Who wants a banana in the end anyhow..the CEO or whoever of Chiquita was just busted giving money from the company to terrorists. Or at least the story went something like that anyhow.

oreos and bananas as a combo? no, that's disgusting but nothing beats oreos and a glass of cold milk. i beg you to give the cookie another try with milk. mmmmm.....yummay!
as for bananas it's pretty ignorant to say they have no substance cos that's just not true. but i have tried the local philippine bananas and it does taste different from the ones that we import from latin america.
p.s. thanks for mentioning filipino cookies. i found them quite tasty and considered these treats to be one of my 'great discoveries' in spain and portugal. i made my mom buy a sack full of filipinos during her last trip there

By the way bananas are a nearly "perfect" food. Look it up!
