Pick someone from one of his favorite books, that way it will be more fun for him. My daughter's school did that, but it was for Dr. Seuss's birthday so they had to pick characters from his books. There were a lot of Cat in the Hat's and Thing 1's and Thing 2's running around. Cat in the Hat is pretty easy, make a big red paper bow tie using construction paper and the same for a hat, just make it a flat striped hat then attach a paper along the bottom that will go around your son's head. Color his nose black and paint some whiskers on his face.

Jack and the Beanstalk. Go to a thrift store and purchase cheap clothes that you do not mind cutting up. Jack was poor so cut the pants knee high and fray the hem. Do the same thing with a shirt. Make a fake axe out of cardboard. Make a bag of seeds. Carry a stuffed duck if you have one, or borrow one, or maybe find one cheap at thrift store. You can do this project for under $10 and its easy!!! Have Fun!
