Hi, Im 13 yrs old and im a fan of children. To keep your 2 yr old Entertained maybe you could make some cookies and if you don't no how to make them you could always get a box up mix from your local super market. If that is a bad idea get some of there toys out and a teetowel and ask them to memorise the toys and then ask he.she to close there eyes and take a toy away then ask them whats missin. It works a treat. If none of these help you could put on hers/his favourite film on and watch it together will a nice hot drink and some snacks.
Hope everything goes to plan and don't get to bored. email me on staceypearson105@hotmail.com to inform me how it all went.
Yours thankfully
Stacey pearson

It is basically around two hours that you will spend with her while she is awake. Relax. You both will have a good time. Ask her parents what her normal routine is during 6-8 p.m. I imagine that you can play dolls or play house. Read a book. If the weather permits, you can play in the backyard. She might end up even going to bed earlier than 8, if you keep her really active! Have fun.

they're fairly youthful, so would be person-friendly to maintain occupied. Get the 5/6 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old looking at a sketch or doing some thing relaxing, finger portray or some thing similiar. The 11/12 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old will in all probability get on with in spite of, so which you will only ahve to handle the youngest one. Its person-friendly to get on with infants, whether you experience uncomfortable at first, after an hour or so which you will get used to it x]

ok, since im a kid and good @ this stuff ill give u my secret on how to keep my sisters occupied while im working on things::
1) bring puzzles
2)bring little snacks
3)bring fun cool little toys for that kids age
4) watch movies, maybe a movie that'll put them to sleep
5)then grab couple books and read em, if its an older girl like 10 & up then let her do her own little thing, like give her some cds to listen to and make her some of the snacks like popcorn, and give her some fashion magazines to read, or give her games to play.
glad to help

it depends a little on what the child is intersted in.
mine loves to read books, and will actually spend 30 minutes reading books. She will then drag me along to play with her dolls. Ask the parents if you can take them for a walk outside, that is a good way to spend 30 minutes.
Are you being asked to bathe/feed the child?

You can play dress up you can sing you can sit on the floor and play anything. We turn the music on and get some plastic big spoons and use them for a microphone and and sing and dance and clap!

You might try giving her toys and stuffed animals voices and have them talk to her and to each other, I've gotten many a two year old giggling over that.

Kids that age love to be read to, they love peek-a-boo, and they like interactive songs like "I'm a little teapot." Sweetie, I hope you have a grand time tonight. Babysitting can be a fun thing if you let it. :D
