well he actually had a girlfriend with whom he broke up long back but now i dont know if he likes me or not we do look ateachother but never spoke and i cant start a conversation, and we had nothing with each other than long eye contacts what does this mean does he like me or not???

Speaking in the capacity of a male, there are a number of possibilities for him making eye contact with you. First off, he could be interested in befriending you. It would almost always never be the kind of romantic interest that girls would feel. Guys' interest in girls tends to veer towards the more physical kind of interest (lust might be an apt term).
Secondly, he might be wondering why you're constantly staring at him, and thus might respond as such.
Also, he could just be an inquisitive person by nature, prone to scrutinizing the people around him (perhaps he might have established eye contact with the other girls in class as well). If you really do want to know if he's interested in you, you might want to start off by just saying "hi" and see where it goes from there. Good luck.

Yes you can start a conversation! start with a simple hello and he will start talking too and sooner are later you will know if he likes you by the tone in his voice or the look in his eyes and there no look after a while he just wants to be friends

Hes probably just really shy and is scared of rejection. REMEMBER guys aren't mind readers you need to give us a little help! But ya hes just shy, maybe you should make the first move, its not illegal for a girl to ask a guy out.

You can read anything into a glance. You won't know if he likes you until he makes a move or tells you. It's certainly a good sign if he looks at you a lot.

okay, i just had a problemo with this guy. exact same stuff liek ur saying, he said sorry but no hard feelings. he made me craaaaazy by eye contact and stuff. but when i confronted him, he said no hard feelings and that he already had a girlfriend.hmmmm but w8, how come it said single in his profile on myspace, have i caught him out baaaaaaad? hahahahaa LOL :D

Hiya ! same happens with all girls ! just approach him and say hiya. he will surely respond. then just say, i cant believe we are both in the same class and we have never spoken ! and laugh a little. This si a good trick, trust it will work.

eye contact means nothing.
it means he thinks he might like the person he thinks you might be. It's most likely that you're not exactly the person he is imagining and if he knew who you are for real, he would probably not care about you.
