Well, 78% of people read the bible, or parts of it (American Religious Identification Survey), so very obviously it's not correlated with success or there'd be a LOT more successful people in the world.
However, most people who read the bible straight through (cover to cover) usually wind up becoming agnostic or atheists (it's easier to see how absurd and contradictory it is when you're not just getting quotes fed to you by a pastor). Agnostics and atheists do tend to be fairly successful (though atheists like bill gates may skew those results), so I suppose those who read the bible all the way through (and thus lose faith) may be marginally more successful - but that would be hard to define for certain.

It gives you a common framework with lots of other people. This helps in human interaction.
In today's world, the ability to communicate effectively is one of the main sources of power, influence, and success.
I'm not Christian, but I find it helpful to have some knowledge of the Bible, as so many other people are. I can pull off pretending to be a Christian when necessary to make the sale.

Not true.
Just because someone in college read the book, doesnt mean they'll be successfull from reading it alone.
Most likely theyll be successfull because they were in college and just happened to read it. I know im in college and I HAVE to read it. When Im through with school Ill be pulling in 70K, and I doubt it is because I read the bible...
What about those lower class members of society that slave away behind the bible, and barely even make it to 10K a year?

Because the Bible is applicable to people in general, not just to those who lived in Biblical times. It's wisdom comes from God, the supreme being who created mankind and knows us better than we know ourselves.

That is an outright lie. But to throw that back at you, why aren't Christians generally better off than others if they have divine backing?

If I can make sense of that garbled question, it doesn't - the bible has no impact whatsoever on a person's success or lack thereof...

It will only help you be more successful if the person or persons deciding on your next promotion or that you are selling to are into it.

It seems that spelling does not count for success. Or does it?
