Because they are young and immature and are just starting to explore their feelings. There is huge peer pressure to be attached and TV and the media dont make it any easier.

It is a natural impulse to want to be connected with someone. That is especially true when the new hormones are rushing ad young people are trying to make heads or tails of everything.

because people have needs that they want fulfilled. the need to be loved or have companionship is really strong for some people. others look to be with someone because they dont want to be alone with themselves. still other just want a regular companion or source of sex. to some extent, no one wants to end up alone.

well for rme back in the day, it was fill an emptiness inside me. I felt empty and alone. i wanted someone to fill up that need I had.
