Morphine-Syringe or Mask?

Okay, so, I'm in a band. We're local and hoping to get somewhere, but that's aside the point. We're working on a logo, and I drew a really cool syringe, and I'm not sure if morphine is put into the body through a mask or a syringe, like an IV. I put this in the entertainment section first, but then I realized that the Health section would be best. Please help!!

Morphine can be given orally (tablet or liquid) or injected. It is not given by mask.

Morphine is not given by i.v. drip. It is injected, by syringe or via PCA (patient controlled analgesia) pump. It can be given i.v., subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or by spinal or epidural routes.

I don't know if you're aware that there was a moderately successful band called Morphine. I understand the spelling is different but something to consider.
If you're not sure how morphine is administered why are you using it for your band name?

Morphine is most often given as an oral tablet, but in an inpatient hospital setting, it is given as an IV drip. Now I ask you this, if you have never taken morphine yourself, why would you name your band morpheen? It sounds like something an addict would name their daughter in a sickly humorous manner.

When I had morphine it was injected through my IV. So it sounds like your syringe drawing might work. :-)

Usually by injection into a muscle or vein. So the syringe would be best.

well i really don't like the name of your band. i don't think bands or anyone should even in the slightest way promote illegal drug use. however most often morphine is given by injection. different sights of injection but most often by injection
