It seems some women want a modified version of a guy who will hit them in the head drag them back to thier cave nail them then throw them out. I am not trying to be inflamatory, it just seems like women put up with being treated poorly and give 2nd chances to these losers. So are there any real strong women out there or are you all only strong / mean when you meet someone who treats you good. This is not about me , I have a good women, I put her on a pedistal but at the same time I will not tolerate any disrespect, I really just don't like to see other people getting walked on.

It's the culture. Women are becoming more and more objectivfied and sexualized at younger ages. At the same time, men are continuing to be irresponsible and there is not recourse for violent behavior. The high amount of single family homes is also a contributor, I'm sure.

Women want a strong man who has dignity and pride, which many of these losers have. However, pure "dignity and pride" does not translate into a "good man." He has to have integrity and values, too. It's hard to find men who embrace all of these characteristics these days (well, most of us are all ready married!)

I am a real woman who used to allow men to treat me badly. I have matured considerably and know I refuse to be disrespected. Perhaps I'm meeting the wrong men but it appears that it's a turn off. The minute I take a stand they run like rabbits. It's a little lonely sometimes, but at least I have my self-respect. So ladies, take this man's advice - stop giving these losers 2nd and 3rd chances - you will end up hurt. Better to be alone than have low self-esteem.

I think as we women get older we know want we want and what we will not tolerate..men sometimes do not make it easy for us..yes we are willing to leave the dirt bag..but then he begs and pleads and so with that we think ok i will give him another chance but then its the same thing..but we do learn..some men are just losers and will never change..sometimes our emotions takes ahold of us and we don ot think straight..i am in a relationship and was about to leave my guy and he beg for another chance..so of course being that i care about him i did and i pray it works out..he is a decent guy and very respectful but at the same time he is very weak when it comes to other women..i will not tolerate his bull shi t.

I'm with you...

I was engaged to this guy, he treated me like crap so I left his butt...it was hard cause he wasn't always mean...

anyway, since then, I met my now husband...he treats me like a queen! He always puts me first, worries about me, makes sure I'm happy...BUT....it is mutual...I treat him with just as much respect as he does with me...that's what makes a good relationship. We've been together for 6 years, married for 3 and have a beautiful 4 month old daughter...

I've never been happier...I just wish everyone could find some one like my husband :)

Well, when it comes to being mistreated in a relationship. It is my opinion a female puts up with the abuse because I am 75% sure she saw her mom go through it. The men do the abusing cause they say their dad do the abusing... Kinda like a like mother like daighter. Like father like son... It is something they are taught, SO reality is, women should not allow it to happen and men should not allow themselves to do it..... It happens to both sex's abuse that is. As long as today's society allows it to continue and do nothing to stop it, we are just teaching our small children to follow our lead !

Aren't you just so caring. How many men are walked all over by a pretty face and great figure? You better look at your own sex before picking on the females.

So whats your question? I personally do not tollerate a man treating me badly never have never will regardless of the situation and I think most ppl you refer to are young girls who think they are in love or women who feel they have no way out of their marraiges dont stereotype. No one enjoys being abused
