Hi Sherrie,
Yup, as I am unfortunatley a smoker of lovely roll-ups, but only about ten per day, I can eat what the heck I fancy, and not put on weight, although smoking does suppress my appetite.
And down a pint or three when called upon.
Perhaps that is to do with my high metabolic rate, though.
some folks seem to bulge at the seams after similar intakes.
Heck, a blow out on grub, a few beers, and I am still only 9st, and use 30" jeans. Without that horrible flabby lump hanging over.
I am heading for an evening do of thick veg soup, steak & kidney pudding, sherry trifle, cheese board, loads of beer & wine. And I bet after a few intercouse smokes, and a visit to the toilet, all will be well.
Have you seen a horse pee?
There's a picture !
Bob.

I have to admit that if I didn't smoke I would put weight on, and yes, I believe nearly 3 years ago smoking actually helped me lose half a stone. It kills hunger pangs. When I wanted something to eat, I had a cigarette instead.
This does not mean it's a good thing...what do you want to be, thin and dead quicker or plump and healthier?
But try other ways first! Make sure you are constantly occupied and do not get time to get bored and think about being hungry, have a drink of water if you think you are hungry - you might just be thirsty and if you haev to eat, nibble on chopped up bits of fruit or grapes instead.

Smoking 'apparently increases your metabolic rate' BUT the only way to sensibly loose weight is to take in fewer calories than required by your body for normal healthy function.
A women needs 2000 calories each day. To loose weight gradually I suggest limiting your daily intake to 1500 to start.
A really easy way to cut out a few extra calories without really noticing it is to cut out margarine/butter from your diet, I know from experience that this really works.
Smoking should never be advised as a remedy to loose weight. I smoked and found that after a while my appetite actually increased.
Smoking also ages both your internal organs and skin!

A friend of my mothers used to smoke instead of eating in the eighties, she was always very thin but has now put weight on and gets everything going wrong with her. She is really quite unwell and looks much older than her early 50s.

I don't smoke, it's bad for the general health, but I know some people who have smoked their way to skinny oblivion....they end up looking like a skeleton and a sounding like an old lawn mower.
....don't try this at home kids...
