When jesus was baptized of John he said Suffer it to be so. To fulfill all righteousness.

this begs the question if jesus suffered to fullfill all the commandmnents of God, would that not all logically and reasonably say he fulfilled Gods commanment to be married. ??

The Greek words. As in the OT, the word "husband" in the NT is the translation of the common Greek word for an individual man (aner), and "wife" is the common word for a woman (gyne). "Marriage" is gamos, "to marry" is gameo, and "to give in marriage" is gamizo or gamisko. The way these words are used in the NT is in harmony with the OT view and practice of marriage.

The marital ideal. Marriage and family were highly prized among the Jews of NT times. Marriage was considered the normal state. When some Pharisees queried Jesus about grounds for divorce, his response reaffirmed the Creation ideal. God formed humanity as male and female. It is his intent that a man leave his father and mother to establish a permanent union with one woman. That bond is to be maintained as each couple shares the experiences of their common life on earth (Mt 19:1-9).

Jesus made a striking additional comment to the disciples. "Some," he said, "are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven" (Mt 19:12). This emphasis goes counter to the common Jewish view of marriage as a responsibility and lays a foundation for giving value to the single life.

Paul develops this theme in 1 Co 7:25-38. He argues that the single state has many advantages; thus, the unmarried should certainly not consider themselves obligated to marry. The married rightly concern themselves with the needs of their spouses, whereas the unmarried are free to concentrate every energy on pleasing the Lord. Paul's earnest endorsement of singleness is striking in view of the attitude of historic Judaism.

One reason why singleness may now be an option is seen in the nature of the church. Human beings need intimate fellowship with others. Marriage provides one avenue for such sharing. But now in the body of Christ, God's larger family on earth, none of us needs to be alone.

Shalom,
It would have been 'normal' for Jesus to have been married, but Not obligatory for that time.

Postponement of marriage Was permitted students of the Law that they might concentrate their attention on their studies, free from the cares of support a wife. Cases like that of Simeon be 'Azzai, who never married.
This famous Rabbi was celibate because of his devotion to the Law and to studying, following, and preaching it -- a situation not unlike that of Jesus and certainly in keeping with His dictum in Matthew 19:10:

His disciples said to Him, "If that is the realtionship of a man with his wife, it's not worth getting married!" But He said to them, "Not everyone can accept this saying, except those to whom celibacy has been granted. For some men are celebate from birth, while others are celebate because they have been made that way by others. Still others are celebate because they have made themselves that way for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this who can.

Philo describes another Jewish sect of both men and women -- the Therapeutae -- who were celibate in their studies and pursuit of wisdom and the holy life. (De Vita Contemplativa 68f)

But the dominant class of individuals who were 'allowed' or 'expected' to be celebate were prophetic figures, throughout Jewish history:

The prophet Jeremiah:
The wilderness prophet Banus:
John the Baptist:

There have been countless others who were celebate as well.

Hi, I'm not sure you understand what fulfillment means of the commandment. The requirement of the commandment is that if you are not perfect, if you don't follow God's laws, you are sentenced to die. Everyone here has sinned and they are all sentenced to die.

Jesus came down to earth to fulfill the requirement of the law, to die for our sins so that we can see God versus being condemned by God. That's how He fulfilled all of the commandments -- since we couldn't keep them, we were meant to die but he fulfilled the requirement through sacrifice. No one else can sacrifice for mankind unless God Himself.

Hope that helps!

Jesus is firstborn from the dead, and also of those He saves through His redeeming blood.

That is being fruitful & multiplying. To be born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with Jesus Christ the King, part of the family of God. Countless Christians have been born of God throughout the ages. The countless number from all nations (Revelation).

When one is born again, they are children of the King. And the bride of Christ is the Church of Christ, those redeemed by His Blood.

Jesus never married. If he had of been married the Bible would have said that he was married! There was nothing sinful about being married and some of the disciples were married, so IF Jesus were married the Bible would have mentioned it.
