Just like you, I look at my baby boy and think how lucky I am to have been given the opportunity to be a mum. Then I look at my lovely hubby that gave me that baby, our house, life in general and realise how lucky I am, and sometimes I need to remind myself of all that when I have had a shitty day at work and people have annoyed me. Family and health is all that matters.

I beat the price of a house advertised as "the ideal family home" down by almost 12%, and bought it. It's in a lovely town.
Then read an article in "Brain, Child" about people going to excesses in trying to keep their children safe, and felt thoroughly lucky that my kid will get to do all the same things I did, in a place where people are still sloppy about locking their doors, and I won't lose sleep over it.
Given the great deal on the house and good mortgage terms, I encourage people who think they can't buy to make sure that's true. I should've bought years ago.

I won a Ghost Rider contest on a tv programme last week and the prize was a Ghost Rider t-shirt (too small) and 2 tickets to see the film. I then won some money on the lottery. Not a bad week.

I got told yesterday that in addition to my history and increased risk of preterm labor and preeclampsia I now have gestation diabetes. I have had a hard pregnancy but it is my 4Th. I have never miscarried and for that I feel very lucky. So many women want baby's and cant have them. I may have hard pregnancies but at least I get them. Thanks for making me realize that. :)
