Please answer, I really need to know.........?

Question

This is my situation. Please answer this time. I don't know what to think or do I need advice. (even though it seems like a stupid situation, please hlep) I didn't even get one answer last time.

Imagine you are in a casual relationship. Things are gong well. One day you call and no one is home. You leave a message saying they can call you back...no time frame given. That is the situation.

How long do you wait for the call?

If they don't call back within one day are they ignoring you? how about 2 or three days....what is the cut off?

Do you call back? Wait a few days then call back?

I know lots of people don't agree with these situations but in the example I have given how would you react? Please let me know, I really need some opinions.

Any answers to the above questions would be really great. Please take a minute and let me know.

What if they have gone far for on their spring break an arrangement that came uup too soon and couln't be avoided?

Or they had an emergency that they couldnt inform you before they left.

A casual relationship and now he has not spoken to you in some amount of days. It could mean he is busy and working hard or It could mean he is out with someone else. Give It a week..mabe a little bit more given the status of your relationship and If you still have not heard from him then he obviously is a low down dirty snake like most men and has decided to cut his losses and run without letting you know. But make sure you call him after that first week Is up and see If he might answer. Dont turn Into crazy stalker woman though. Good luck

I'd wait 2 days, then call again. It is a casual relationship, not a committed one. In the 2nd call I'd let them know that you're a little concerned because you didn't hear from them.

Then I'd wait an additional 2 days, and call one last time. I'd be very clear that if I didn't hear from the person, then I'd consider our casual relationship over, and move on.

sounds like you want this to be more then casual. If you two arent commited it dosent matter how long you dont here from him. He probibly has another girl on the side. If he dosent call for 2 weeks i would think this casual thing is done for. wait a week then call him again. If you still do not here from him move on a guy is not worth sitting by the phone for. i suggest next time you talk to him let him know you want to be more serious.

Depending on how important it was for me to speak to the person. If I need to talk right away (like an emergency), then I would call about every 30 to 60 minutes until I made contact with them.

But if I was just calling to say Hi, then I would wait a day or two, & then call again if I hadn't heard from them. After that if they haven't returned my call, I would consider the ball in their court, & not attempt to contact them again unless the idea renewed itself in my mind.

I know you said it is a casual relationship but it sounds like you might have feelings for this person.. I was in the same type of situation before and I made the mistake of having feelings and I got hurt pretty bad the person texted me one day and said he didnt ant to talk to me anymroe and told other people that I was clingy...since then we have talked about the situation and he has actually given me tips for how to act with other guys..so let me help you so you don't make my mistake...call only once...and wait for them to call.. I know it might drive you crazy and you want to call again but the other person will see this as you being clingy, desperate, or evven annoying. its like a game of tennis..they call you the next time you call them then let them call you again... I have come to the point where now I do not call them I let them call me unless it is about something important or something that I need to tell them otherwise I won't do it. It's like a game kind of like playing hard to get make them chase you and it will make them want you even more.. people want what they can't have or what is hard to get a hold of so you you make yourself available all the time or if you throw your self at someone they will get bored..but if you make them work even if it is as simple as making them call you they will be even more interested..when this person does call you back don't say where have you been or anythig like that unless they bring it up just carry a normal conversation like you just talked yesterday. let me know if this helps!

Call a second time and leave a message.Something could have happened the first time causing them not to receive the missed call.After a couple of days this person doesn't respond then you can pretty much right them off.

you have made the first attempt. move on with you life and don't sit around waiting for a call back. if they decide to call back and you miss their call then call them back when you get some free time.
maybe they never got the message... you never know.. but if this person is interested in you then i'm sure they will get in contact with you in some way.
maybe after a week and you still haven't heard back you can give them a call again just to see how they have been.

Dude! Don't sweat the small stuff. Just call a few times, if they don't call back right away . . move on and find a replacement. Life's too short to depend on unresponsive people.
