Contact the office of the County Clerk for the county where you were born. Many have their websites capable of taking requests online. Others require you to provide ID to prove you are the person named on the birth certificate. Either way, it's not that expensive and is very easy to get. If you still live in the area where you were born you can go down there and pick it up in a matter of minutes.

Call the county court house in the county you were born. They should have municipal records of all births and deaths in your country and will be able to help you find your birth certificate.

Go to the City Hall/Town Hall in the City/Town you were born. You may write and I am sure for a fee they will send you a copy.
I have no idea what to do if you were born outside of the US or Canada.
