"But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised" (1 Cor. 2:14).
you cannot understand God from a scientific or natural standpoint , because the spiritual things are not related to this natural world!! and THAT'S THE PROBLEMS of many athesit / evolutionist. They confused the natural things with spiritual things and thats why the fall into doubts about the existance of God!!
Atheist if you want to know God is Real you have to believe and receive the Faith and THEN God will show you that he's Real.
faith is like another language, without faith it's impossible that you guys understand what we talk,! it will be like if we'are talking to you guys in chinese, of course you will never understand us, unless you learn chinese Right!! so it's the same thing with The faith!! you'll never understand if you don't have it!!

"Jesus is god. A lot of people won't believe this, but I can show you that I am real if you already believe I am real".
So you can prove the existance of god to people who already believe in god. Isn't that rather redundant?
If I wrote some outrageously unlikely things about myself and then said "some people won't believe me" would that mean my claims are correct?

I understand you I do, but I use to be a strong Christian believe it or not and my pastor taught me those things to, he told me A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God and all that stuff! But what you need to realize is, the bible and that path you choose has to cover it's tracks no matter what. This book tells you things like that so YOU will understand how people don't accept it. Don't you see? It's called brainwashing. And everything an Atheist has to say to you i'm pretty sure you can find it in the bible because they covered every thing. Those people knew that these questions would come up so they had to write something to make Christians ready so they won't doubt. The bible is designed so that every question is answered so there is no room for doubt. It's called brainwashing!
You need some seriously help you are ill!

I am not an atheist, but may I comment.
You cannot logically whale on atheists for not adopting your view about your God until you provide evidence that your God exists.
A person who does not accept that unicorns are "real" has no obligation to argue with you if you claim that unicorns are "real." Until you offer evidence that there is something to discuss, there is nothing to discuss.
Faith means accepting a claim without any evidence at all to support it. You are free to have all the faith you want, in whatever gods, leprechauns and unicorns you choose. This is America. But it makes no sense for you to imagine that other people are missing something if they don't accept your claims. It's up to you to prove that your claim has some basis in fact.
And if you ever provide factual evidence to support your claims about the supernatural, then it will no longer be supernatural but natural, and you will no longer be exercising faith to believe in it. When evidence comes to light, it will be tested by science, no longer a matter of faith.
So if you want to live in faith, feel free, but don't expect others to enter your world. They can do just fine without your beliefs.

Nope, I don't accept it. The statement about having doubts about the existance of God. I have no doubts at all in my mind. I feel just as certain that there is no such thing, as you do that there is.
Why should I want to know God when I feel certain that it's all superstition ?
I'd like to ask you, why don't you learn the language of nature, and get all this supernatural superstition out of your heads ?

Hell no.
That whole argument is so circular i can feel space warping around my computer. You appear to agree with us that we won't believe it unless we believe it. So what makes you think that we would believe it?
To put it another way, do you have any idea how stupid you look when you quote the Bible to people who don't accept the Bible? I do not intend to insult you; that is simply how you come across.

Are you *asking* us or *telling* us? We'll answer your questions, but we don't sit still for preaching. And we'll say what we think, not (necessarily) what you want to hear. Get over it.

I believed for many years. I prayed daily and fervently sought the holy spirit. I started becoming disillusioned when I never received an answer to my prayers, when I never felt the holy spirit in me. After years of feeling like "god" had forsaken me I began to seek answers in other forms of christianity and in other religions. None of them provided any solace. I finally accepted that there is no god and my life is peaceful now.

do you seriously believe that all atheists are just materialistic gradgrind types. do you thinks that we don't possess any 'spirituality. the difference is that you have appropriated the meaning of spirituality and tried to make it exclusively the property of theism. don't you think that many atheist are in feel a great sense of awe at the spectacular beauty of the universe and this world, do you feel they don't shiver deep inside when they hear a moving piece of music or a great work of art. how many of them stayed dry eyed when lassie died. are we not human like you. this was the 'religion' of Einstein, the spirit of wonder, the spirit of awe that stirs in all humanity. the difference between us is that atheists do not believe in god and their spirit dies with them. what you are showing us are just words in an old book, they are meaningless or as meaningful as any work of fiction. we are not foolish, it's just that we are not fooled.

Basically you are asking me to believe in order to understand. this is backwards for atheists, we try to understand in order to believe.
Your Chinese analogy is a bit flawed...in relation to the rest of your post, if you spoke to me in Chinese, you're saying i should believe what you say and then I will understand it rather than learn Chinese then decide whether I believe what you have said.

Nothing more than another convenient passage to rationalize that which cannot be explained.
Yawn.
You seem to forget, spanky, that many atheists were once Christians like you (except a little more coherent).
Faith is not evidence for anything. It's blind belief. You're entitled to it, but don't piss on our faces and tell us that you're seeing something we're not. You're human, too. You're not supernatural.
