I'm not wanting to do the Nutrisystem to lose weight, at least that's not my concern, my only concern is trying to get and stay healthy, digestive wise that is, and if I lose weight in the process of doing a certain program, well of course that would be awesome, but I'm not really overweight, I could probably stand to lose maybe 10 to 15 pounds, so it'd be really cool if I did lose a few lbs. in the process. Just really wondering if the program is healthy / good for you.

I used to work as a weight counselor for NutriSystem. The food is healthy, and the cost is high. My husband lost 34 pounds on the diet. Of course, he had me making his meals out of the NutriSystem food, and making sure he didn't cheat, too. He did lose the weight fast, and he felt terrific.
Remember, that Jenny Craig and NutriSystem are the same programs. Jenny Craig used to have a Nutri-System franchise, so she could not start her OWN business up for a particular number of years in the U.S.. She went to Australia, started up her own business, stayed there until the years were over that she needed to wait........then, brought her program to the U.S.. (I'm not 'downing' her program, it is just that I wouldn't want anyone to pay more for this program than for the other program).
The cost of either program will depend on how much weight you need to lose, of course. The food can run you as much as $200 a week, depending upon your choices. For most people, I really think that just making sure your present food is the right size portion (size of YOUR fist), and then, NOT to snack between meals at all! If you think you really do not snack between meals, or after dinner, start writing down what you eat, every bite, and see if you surprise yourself. Getting exercise, eating small portions of regular food, and NOT snacking will make a huge difference in your weight. Another thing you MUST do, is to drink water..........lots of water. Stop drinking carbonated drinks while you are losing weight. Drink Propel Mineral Water, Ice Tea, Green Tea, plain old water.......but, do drink the water. Most people can lose the weight without a program, if you simply exercise, eat the correct portion sizes of food, and stop the snacking. Try it!
