can a performance air filter be use for it?

keep it tuned up new spark plugs throttle body service ,
as far as increasing the factory mpg , Be careful there are a lot of stuff out there that says they will increase gas mileage but wont , if you don't believe me check with the myth busters they did a special on it and almost none of them proved to work. bottom line if gas mileage is a big problem upgrade to a prius. check with dealer for an upgrade if they have one...we just bought a 2007 corolla and it gets almost 40 miles to the gallon.....beats the hell out of my 18 I get in my Tundra ext cab truck......good luck

ever heard of a piggyback ecu? that gizmo work just fine,.. what it do is to fine tuning your factory ECUs fuel map to have the car drives with an optimum fueling.. not too much nor too less.. basicly it tune the engine to what driving style suit you..
p/s: you can tune it if your wanna race setups too..

oil changes dont floor the car and dont use hard steering and braking
