Wouldn't it make more sense to have everyone no matter what they believe just add the Golden Rule of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?" The golden rule pretty much encompasses every known rule in all the religions, and if we could finally agree to just adopt and practice this one little rule, wouldn't that finally lead us to world peace?

If people could truly adopt that rule, it would lead to peace. It is the foundation of every religion, which is another evidence that all religions are stages in one progressive Revelation of God to humankind and are, thus, one religion.

While I agree the golden rule is a good basic moral code, it does not encompasses every known rule.
If someone likes S&M, getting dressed up in leather bondage and being dominated, does tham mean they can do that unto others?
If I don't mind my neighbor borrowing tools from my garage, can I then go borrow all my meighbors tools as I please?

I wrestle willful lack of information to help benefit more advantageous targets alongside with you said. I even provide suggestion to people of their faith, in step with their faith, like a clergyman, often times. yet I continuously comprise the religion is pretend. I wrestle the concept of religion. If faith replaced into in simple terms spirituality, that should be effective. yet faith includes so a lot more advantageous - corporation, indoctrination, and so on. and that i take this chance to you that in person-friendly words some theists or atheists partake in the habit you communicate. i visit attack non secular beliefs that attack society's nicely-being. i'm beautiful in determination in cultural evolution, even if malevolent i ought to seem or act, to attain benevolent effect. I, as a non-dogmatic atheist believe you should no longer be so willfully ignorant about this. the right e book or dogma is moot aspect, it really is the reasoning or lack thereof behind it.

I think that would be wonderful and it would be beneficial. However because we as humans have many faults we usually tend to get blindsited by our anger, sadness, intolerance, jealousy....by lots of things and we don't always consider our fellow man. which is really sad because if everyone was rational and took time to calm down when angry or upset, if they took time to think things through, then it would be different. However, deep down we're all animals with instincts. I believe freud referred to it as the ID.

However, practice of this one rule cannot come about until we first learn to subdue (note I did NOT say, "get rid of") the ego-centered reactions we have to everything around us... once the mind is much calmer it becomes much easier to cultivate altruism.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you unless it upsets the balance of power, interferes with the acquisition of resources or threatens access to markets.

Nice sentiment, but being that we are humans it is a pie in the sky theory when humans can be very destructive in their nature.
