If I understand your question correctly, your asking for a recipe that's easy for young teens to make?
Try making mini pizzas with canned biscuit dough. Just take one biscuit and flatten it out, spoon on some tomato sauce, add pepperoni or whatever kind of topping you want along with shredded cheese, and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes - the biscuit will be a little brown on the edges, and the cheese will be melted.

Make something easy like potato salad and chicken. If it is a cook out I am assuming that you are looking for "cook out" type foods. Baked beans is easy. Chicken salad with Pita bread. Things like that. If you go and type in cook out foods or BBQ recipes, it will show you a bunch of stuff. Good luck.

Rotel dip and chips
1 can of rotel
1 (2 lbs) velveeta cheese (cut into small slices)
1 lb cooked sausage or hamburger meat
microwave until liquid and stir
dip chips into it. Enjoy!
