Why would it be anyone else's business whether she is a virgin or not? A true virgin would not feel the need to disclose such information.

Yes, but it is not just with girls.

In our society there is so much focus on sex that if you have not had sex you are teased & laughed at.

It is sad & pathetic, but if you are not one of the people who has had sex before you turn 18 you're considered "strange."

Virginity SHOULD be something important, but it isn't important to most.

I have no shame in admitting that i was a virgin until i was 24 years old & i gave it to the woman who is now my fiancee. I do not regret waiting to give it to the right person. Out of all the people who have sex at a young age many of them claim that they regret not waiting longer.

It's sad that something as personal & intimate as sex is examined by peers. Something that should be nobody's business but the 2 people involved is shared amongst groups of people.

Nothing to be ashamed of I guess. The media drives a lot of opinions on the matter anyway. It's the same thing with marriage. People should just mind their business.

I guess they would jump at the chance for a do over, So no
I do not think anyone would laugh at the opportunity to rethink
their first time encounter.

Not that I know of. I know I don't laugh at them. Some people do, but that's probably cuz they are jelous of the fact that they aren't virgins any more...

you should be really proud of who you are. i am 22 yrs old virgin guy. its not that ididn't find anybody to have sex. i could have experienced sex at the age of 14 but i didn't chose that option and didn't let myself affected by any sort of peer pressure.

People only laugh at you when you let them. Actually people will probably be very supportive and say they wished they'd done the same.

not true at all. thats like asking if people will think youre stupid if you havent smoked pot. of course there are always people who will tease or criticise any situation or conviction, but in reality...theyre the stupid foolish and weak ones.

Sad, but yes it's true. We are working on changing this for future generations. It's just a slow change.
