hi i downloaded some vids off you tube by goin to www.vixy.net but wen i download them they are avi files. wen i try to play them on windows media player 11 it won't let me. is there anyway i can convert them to mpg videos for free. I v tried downloading different converter's but all the ones ive tried you have to register if you want to convert the whole video. And it will only do the first 60 seconds. Does registering mean you have to pay please help!

Why do u want the to convert them into mpg...when u can play avi files from ur windows media player ... Ur windows media player probably doesnt have the codecs for playing a AVI file .... u can download it from microsoft.com or an other way would be for u to download and install DIVX media player .... (Please google for the download links ) Once u install DIVX player ...u can either use it to play the AVI files ar use your Window Media Player 11 ...It will work fine

U can always find cracks for the converters if u want to use the converter but I wouldnt recommend that ...:D Take Care

You don't need a converter, you need a codec to view your avi file. This codec is for free, just install it and then open your file with windows media player again and see the results.

I even have it inspite of the undeniable fact that it rather is merely too sluggish for me so I hardly use it. Cool colorings although. I even have my music on I-TUNES. it rather is plenty quicker. so some distance I`ve been in a position to characteristic all yet 3songs. i assume because of the fact of copyright rules or some thing. All 3 have been pink Floyd tunes. It kinda sucks because of the fact they're MY cds. offered and paid for. as quickly because it became no longer able to decide what became on the disc and gave me 2 selections. needless to say I chosen what I paid for. I even have NERO which appearently won't reject something. Now my merely problem is area on my pc. i'm finished and characteristic merely uploaded 25% of my cds. Winows Media participant is a few distance TOO sluggish!!
