we are partial to the USVI but are open to all ideas. we like boutique type places over big all inclusives. does anyone know of specfic hotels or resports to check out?

we don't have a set budget and plan to travel there prior to having the big event. specfic hotels would be great!!

My suggestion is the Bristish Virgin Islands.That place is really beautiful and it has alot of resorts to choose from that are not all inclusive.Most offer wedding packages and they can get anything you need.Most even the names of local wedding planners that can help with your ceremony.
My picks for the resorts are:
Surf Song-on Tortola Island
Bitter End Yacht Club-on Virgin Gorda island
Lambert Beach Resort-On Tortola
Little Dix Bay Resort-on Virgin Gorda
If you choose Tortola, Check out Carrries Island Comfort Inn.The view is absolutely georgeous and its only three mins driving to the beach or even less than that.

The Southampton Princess in Bermuda is a beautiful hotel right on the pink sandy beach. There are lots of boutiques to shop in and the beaches are gorgeous in Bermuda.

USVI is so beautiful! There is also any island in Hawii, Bora Bora, Caribbean, Puerto Verta, The Keys, North Carolina, Jamiaca......

I've never been, but heard it's beautiful at Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. I found this link to a planner that has some pics.

I'm not sure what your budget is...but you can check out Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton hotels...they are not all inclusives, and usually they have great locations with outstanding services for weddings.

i used to work for rci which is a time share company, mmmm the best hotel for the money i would say grand velas vallarta, itis in puerto vallarta and it is the place to go for you, or you might want to try a cruise, or the gran canaries,australia is nice as well as italy, ,rent a time share somewhere its cheap and you can get very nice places for little money,but whatever you do have a great time!!

Sandals now has a program called "weddingmoons". it's an all inclusive package that actually includes the wedding! That's what i would do if i wanted destination!
