Try using a good scrub in the shower. By exfoliating you get rid of the dead skin that makes the bumps worse and the massaging motion will help blood circulate (making skin healthier). You might also want to get one that moisturizes as well. The Body Shop has some great scrubs and they are all natural. They are kind of spendy, but the better products will work better.

Yes, it is not rare at all. I don't think there is a lot you can do. I've tried pumice soap, and scrubbing until tender, using RetinA, lotioning up every day etc. Nothing makes them go away except perhaps age or wearing shirts that don't cover your arms as much. You can try tanning to see if they go away. With age I guess I've noticed mine getting a little smoother.

My sister had this on the backs of her arms and also on her thighs because of a Vitamin A & D deficiency. Perhaps you could try a vitamin supplement and see if it improves.

omg! i have had this before! this is SO easy to get rid of if you buy the right solution! go to a salon or go on-line, and ask some one, or type in the product, if they have any dermatology items. there are many to chose from so you go ahead and pick! hope it works for you!

Hey you are not alone. It is actually most common in Males. My dad passed it on to me.

THey are just clogged oil ducts. It is not because you are dirty or anything, so dont worry. It is just one of those weird natural things. they are best if you just leave them alone. Other wise if you pick or squeze them they just end up looking worse. I just tell people I got a stupid skin condition my Dad passed on to me, Darn genetics!

Good luck and good health to you.

You should go to a dermatologist, it could be eczema. This is a skin condition where you would need to be taking medication.
