John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever should believe in him shall not parish but have everlasting life.
This pretty much sums up the whole Christian faith. This has been my favorite verse from a young age. I reminds me of what I must do according to what He has done. Believe!

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. As a child growing up in a foster home I was always told you'll never amount to anything, your stupid, you can't do nothing right, I rate you as a "0". Also, being ridicule in school by the teachers. It was a long hard struggle trying to believe that I can do anything, and sometimes as an adult the low self-esteem tries to take control. But faith through Christ helps me to be a overcomer in Him. That's why that scripture is my favorite.

John 6:68 - not the most inspiring verse, but it speaks a real truth about me. I am not a great guy who is super enlightened, spiritual or holy, but I have no other choice. There is no other place where I have found words that resonate "life".

I am Buddhist and would like to answer this interesting question from a Buddhist perspective if I may be so permitted.
The Buddhist Dharma is full of interesting verse but my favourite is the First of the Four Noble Truths. For Buddhists a full understanding of this one will lead to a full understanding of all four. Forgive me as I quote, I understand that the question is aimed at Christian Scripture perhaps it can be used for interesting comparison.
The First Noble Truth is often misquoted as "Life is suffering", this is an incorrect interpretation and should be highllighted...It is actually as follows...Dukka translates as intolerable or unsustainable and difficult to endure, but is often misquoted as suffering, a most unsatisfactory word for the translation...
All is Dukka, birth is Dukka, death is Dukka, sickness is Dukka, ascociation with what we dislike is Dukka, disascociation with what we like is Dukka.
There are 3 insights for each of the Noble Truths. The insight of recognition of the Truth. The full understanding of the Truth including understanding and dealing with each of its aspects and finally the acknowledgement of that understanding of the Truth.
When a full understanding of the First is reached, understanding of the others has already been reached.
This is why the First Noble Truth is my favourite. it has been recognised by some Bikkhus (teachers) that a full understanding of the First Noble Truth is all that is really needed for enlightenment to be achieved....I am still trying....
Peace from a Buddhist....

1 John 4:20 "If anyone says, 'I love God,' yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love God, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen."
I had to memorize this verse in like the fourth grade, and it immediately affected me. It made so much sense to me. I knew, okay, yeah, love your neighbor as yourself, love the Lord your God with all your heart....but this was just like a slap in the face. If you don't love the people around you, how can you possibly love someone you can't even see. This has made loving those difficult people much easier, or at least a little more logical, for me.

ISA. 40:31, Yet those who wait for the LORD
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.
If I choose Gods way, I have a source of spiritual refreshment everlasting.

"In the name of GOD, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful". This verse is the first verse which appears in all the chapters in the Qur'an. I like this verse the Most as they allow me to Confide and Confess Everything to Him, Most importantly Believing that He will Forgive.

Phi 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, Rejoice!
Phi 4:5 Let your reasonableness be known to all men. The Lord is near.
Phi 4:6 Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and by petition with thanksgivings, let your requests be made known to God;
Phi 4:7 and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phi 4:8 For the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever honorable, whatever is right, whatever pure, whatever lovely, whatever of good report, if of any virtue, and if of any praise, think on these things.
Phi 4:9 And what things you learned and received and heard and saw in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
THIS HELPS ME TO MAKE GOOD CHOICES AS A CHRISTIAN
Mat 22:36 "Teacher," he asked, "which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
Mat 22:37 Jesus answered, " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
Mat 22:38 This is the greatest and the most important commandment.
Mat 22:39 The second most important commandment is like it: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'
Mat 22:40 The whole Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets depend on these two commandments."
THIS INSTRUCTS ME AS TO WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO GOD
Mat 7:1 "Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you,
Mat 7:2 for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others.
Mat 7:3 Why, then, do you look at the speck in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the log in your own eye?
Mat 7:4 How dare you say to your brother, 'Please, let me take that speck out of your eye,' when you have a log in your own eye?
Mat 7:5 You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will be able to see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
THE DANGER OF SITTING IN JUDGMENT ON OTHERS, WHICH IS GOD'S JOB ALONE
Mat 7:7 "Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

I have a couple of verses. One is Philippians 4:8. It helps me to stay focused. I shouldn't be dwelling on the negative. If I keep my mind on these things I should be a fairly happy person. The other is Philippians 1:21 For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. It reminds me that this earth does not hold my true reward. My life is Christ's. I should be a living example for him even if it costs me my life.
