shouild i move on to my next lover?

i met this sexy athletic guy...and ofcourse he is a ladies man.but i really think he is into me...we are jus talking now but it feels like we go out because he is always trying to be around me..but alot of people tell me not to talk to him because he flirts with alot of girls and because he cheated on his other girls in the past...he tells me he isnt talking to other girls...what should i do...please help me!!!
