Liquid Frisket works well with watercolors, but you might be able to use it on canvas with acrylic paints. Liquid Frisket or Rubber Cement will NOT work if you are using oil paints. I'm not sure why you particularly want a masking liquid, but on canvas you might be better off using painter's tape. You can even mask areas with paper and tape down the edges, just make sure the paint isn't soaking through.

This medium works great for water color and small areas. Liquid masking medium is very expensive to use with oil and canvas. when working with oil on canvas, scotch tape works as well as any thing else. cut the tape to fit the area or areas you want mask and peel it off when you are ready to work on that specific area.

I work large-scale and like to use good ol' masking tape. I put the tape on and use a knife to cut out exaclty what I want masked. Even coverage, and no fumes - which is a plus when working large. You won't even damage the surface when cutting because the canvas is stronger than paper; unless you're really heavy-handed of course.

Rubber cement is what we used with water-based. Make the eraser for rubber cement by painting layers on plain paper and rubbing to make up a ball that acts like a erasure for the artwork.

They make latex mold paint taht uses a paintbrush. I use it to make molds. You'd have to experiment with your canvas.
