My aunt used to cut it up and freeze it but the texture was kinda off it worked best with cantalope and honeydew melons. She would just cut it up and put in freezer bowls with tight lids

Yes you can freeze it but like another answer said, the texture will be kinda mushy. This works great though if you are a fan of watermelon margaritas or some other frozen concoction!

If you want to use the juice. The melon would be kinda mushy after defrosting! Have you thought of a food dehydrater? Watermelon in thin slices dries well and it tastes better than candy!

Yes, but make sure you cut it up first. My friends and I froze a small one once without cutting it up, just out of curisousity... Well, it's nearly all water, and water expands, and I'm sure you can guess what we didn't forsee....
But because it is mostly water, it freezes great! And frozen chunks in summer are good too, kinda like popcicles. That's what we were doing.

the flesh will be like mush when you defrost it, and it won't taste very good either. Try descicating it or dehydrating it.

You could. But it may not taste the same as it would fresh. It will break down as your thawing it.
