Judaism mentions three heavens, every culture has its own version of heaven, and the use of the word pre-dates Christianity. It means simply the sky, that unknown canopy above our heads, that the ignorant ancients imagined as the home of the Gods, reflected today in such primitive expressions as, God ABOVE, and God coming DOWN to Earth, and going UP to heaven.

A good question- especially about the multiple heavens. I'v been thinking about that very same idea for a while now...
(After all, we say: look in to the heavens, not heaven)
Anywho, I think "god" just opens the heavens every now and then when he gets bored, he seems to like spitting on the passers by.

There is just one heaven. God opens the heaven and grace the earth with rain.

You are missing an apostrophe, it is 'When Heaven's Open' meaning 'Heaven is Open'.
It is a figure of speech from Old Testament times.
And there is one Heaven, with God and Jesus there, answering our prayers!

Mal 3:10 carry ye each and all of the tithes into the storehouse, that there could be meat in mine homestead, and coach me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if i can not open you the homestead windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] sufficient [to obtain it]. Isa 24:18 And it shall come to pass, [that] he who fleeth from the noise of the phobia shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit would be taken interior the snare: for the homestead windows from on severe are open, and the principles of the earth do shake.

Heavens in this context has nothing to do with religion, it just means the sky, it is still used in this context in the UK.
The heavens must open, or how would the water get through?

When my heaven rips apart, i can't breathe (atmosphere). Outer psace is a level of heaven. Then there is paradise (the garden of God and his throne),
