Hi my name is Hallie, and I am using my babysitters Yahoo! account, because I asked her, and she said yes, I could ask one question. My question is I really want a little sister, and I am 10 years old. I have an older bro. My mom can't have any other kids, because for some reason, when she had me, she never got her period again.

So, I want her to adopt a girl, who is 4 years younger than me. I want her to be american, or at least look american, (no chinese please, I want her to look like she is my real sis.) How can I convince my parents to get me a little sister?

Can you give me info on adopting? How much does it cost? There is enough room in my house for one more kid. And please have nice, respectful answers.

Is there an orphanage, (I don't care where in the world,) that you can go to, and chose which child you want? Thanks.

www.adoption.com has a lot of great resources for people looking to adopt. The cheapest way to adopt is through the foster care program. You mom would have to take classes and get certified, but she'd be eligible to adopt children whose parents can no longer take care of them. The government may even give her some money every month if she's adopting a child who is 7 or older.
Good luck!

Oh, stop.

You are not 10. You want to adopt child.

By the way people of Chinese heritage are also American if born in America or Canada or where ever or are citizens of the country in which they reside, or are you an indigenous native American?

Adoption cost can vary between 6,000 dollars to 50,000 dollars. There is no guarantee that you can adopt any particular child and no guarantee that if you did, you would actually like her. Most qualifying agencies want prospective parents to take classes The whole process can take up to two years.

you type oddly well for a 10 yrs old, hmmmm. and the cost depends on what type of adoption it is. most likely several thousand dollars. if your mom wants to adopt, she needs to do the research.

As much fun as that sounds to you, perhaps your parents feel different...Children cost a lot of money to raise..Maybe your parents are happy with who they have for children and don't want any more!!
