Yes. We didn't evolve from monkeys. Do a little background work before making a damn fool of yourself. Darwin never said we evolved from monkeys. The stupid church people came out with that to discredit his book.

First of all, I have seen Muslim propaganda defending creationism too so it is not a strictly 'Christian' thing.

Secondly, not squids or monkeys. Modern man and modern apes evolved from a common ape ancestor.

Lastly, you asked a question and then you answer it yourself, with another question. If you truly wish to know "is evolution right?" then a very little research can explain the very simple and elegant explanation for our presence here through a slow process of Natural Selection.

How did a big black nothing make a blast of cells/atoms, that made huge rocks that just floats in the airm That made squids that evolved into a monkey that grew hearts and organs that made donkeys and horses....
and the water..its also made water

It makes no sense too me

alright I also found this:
The honest scientist, like the philosopher, will tell you that nothing whatever can be or has been proved with fully 100% certainty, not even that you or I exist, nor anyone except himself, since he might be dreaming the whole thing. Thus there is no sharp line between speculation, hypothesis, theory, principle, and fact, but only a difference along a sliding scale, in the degree of probability of the idea. When we say a thing is a fact, then, we only mean that its probability is an extremely high one: so high that we are not bothered by doubt about it and are ready to act accordingly. Now in this use of the term fact, the only proper one, evolution is a fact. For the evidence in favor of it is as voluminous, diverse, and convincing as in the case of any other well established fact of science concerning the existence of things that cannot be directly seen, such as atoms, neutrons, or solar gravitation ....

There is no evidence linking squids and human ancestry. Our closest common ancestors with squids would have been very, very early in the development of multicellular life, and that ancestor would have borne no resemblance to either squids or humans. At best, it might have looked vaguely worm-like.

No evolutionary biologist has ever proposed that vertebrates, including humans ever evolved from squids.

However, there is plenty of physical evidence (comparative anatomy, genetics, paleonotological) that apes are closely related to monkeys, and that the apes evolved from monkeys. As humans are a type of ape, this also means that at one time, our ancestors were monkeys.

If you have evidence which contradicts this (besides 'this book says we were made from dirt, not monkeys'), then the biologists would be glad to discuss it with you.

Is evolution right?

Yes, loads of circumsantial evidence

Is creationism Right?

No, no evidence at all

I habve yet to see one credible piece of evidence that stands up to any sort of scientific scrutiny that supports creationism or Intelligent Design for that matter.

BTW. we id not evolve from monkeys or squids, we evolved from common ancestors (the futher back you go, the more diverse the organisms descended from that common ancestor)

Educate yourself on evolution. It's not that we came from squids and monkeys. But if you want to believe that some mythical creature made us- then fine. That's, like, so much more convincing! (Sarcasm? What?)

Evolution has stood up to far more scrutiny then any other theory as to how we came to be. It may not be right, but it's the best we've got, and it appears to explain everything it is asked to.

If creation theory has any evidence, then there are a lot of scientists who would like to see it.

There are a lot of closed minded people in this world. I'm Christian, I don't believe everything evolutionist say, but i do to some because change is necessary to survive. You see evolutionist are ignorant because they refuse to investigate the ways of religious creation, and religious ppl are ignorant to see what science has to offer. Otherwise, you gotta lot of rude people answering your "friends'" question. Sorry that they're that way, obviously their ancestors were very hostile.

Some of it is..but not all of it.
Micro Evolution makes sense and it can be proven. That is where small changes happen in an organisim because of environmental factors.

But the huge changes that are proposed can't be proven.( I.E.
Ape to human), plus don't make sense in light of the scripture we have.

Some Christians believe in the Gap Theory, whereby the earth was destroyed by the satan when he was cast out of heaven, and God had to recreate some things. They believe that accounts for the weird fossil records that we do have.

evolution does not mean going from one species to another, 3000 years ago the average size of a man was about 5ft tall and the shoe size was about a 6,, today the average size of a man is about 6ft tall and the shoe size is about 12,, and no it is not fast food that is doing it because they were that size 100 years ago,, before fast food,, archeology has shown these to be the facts

If monkeys came from squids, then why are there still humans?
