I've got a really important video that I need to put on DVD. It's a quicktime file and no program I have supports the file. Is there any way I can convert it to a avi file or some other readable video file? Thanks.

I'm looking for something free, since I'm probably going to use the program only once. Those things you gave me have free trials but don't convert the whole file, and I really dont want to fork over $30+. Any freeware?

I just downloaded and used a program called "Super" last night and it is very easy to use, and totally free.
You can get it here:

Try this website:

http://www.alivemedia.net/videoconverter.htm

Alive Video Converter is an all-in-one video converter software to convert video files from one format to another, and extract audio tracks from video. It allows you to convert all popular video formats including AVI, DivX, XviD, MPEG, WMV, MOV, ASF, QuickTime, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, VOB, MOD to iPod, PSP, Zune, mobile 3GP and 3G2, you can also convert the above video formats to AVI, DivX, XviD, DVD, SVCD, VCD, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, WMV, MP4, 3GP, 3G2 formats. With a very easy to use interface you can also extract audio tracks from video files to MP3, AC3, AAC, M4A audio formats.

If that program doesn't work, try:

http://www.download.com

When you get there, search for video converters which match/meet the formats of your two videos.

Hope this helps!

You can use CuCusoft to convert any format to any other format. usually quicktime movies are in MP4 format and you would want to convert them to a DVD format or MPEG format...
