You can let your dog watch tv. Some people prefer to leave their tv on during the day when they are not home. It helps to calm the dog and prevent anxiety attacks - yes, dogs do have anxiety attacks.

Our dog used to love to watch Teletubbies - I don't think its on anymore. He loves basketball and any show with animals. He likes shows with small children and soft music. He hates the bad guys on TV and TV violence doesn't seem to be good for him.
So, TV is okay. Unsupervised TV might not be. If it's a show he doesn't like, he doesn't watch - but, watch out for those bad guys!

Some people feel it's less traumatic for an animal, when left by itself, if there is sound, and a picture of people, other animals, etc, when the television set is left on. Perhaps it even helps an animal to not feel bored, hearing the sounds of people's voices, and that animal will be less inclined to start tearing up the house.....

Yes, it won't hurt them. Some dogs like the sound, but most cannot perceive a continuous image the way we do; it just looks like flickering light because they see images at a different frame rate than people.

My 14 month previous does not sit down nonetheless long sufficient to observe any television. in my view i do no longer think of a sprint television will harm. i think of it may help with their language and speech. the element is to no longer use television to babysit your baby for 8 hrs an afternoon.
