Parties are masquerades these days, only the masks are not worn over faces but laid over job titles. Take the instance of a Gardner, he called himself a "Landscape Design Consultant" and ended up with a hot date instead of tending tulips and rhodendrons. There was a Dishwasher who called himself a
"Cutlery Storage and Preservation Associate." So I decided to invent a title for my Domino's Pizza delivery gig and called myself "Italian Cuisine Procurement & Distribution Expert" for a MNC. This impressed the gal I was with who was probably staring at my biceps when I whispered the job title. However, during the week I was riding the 125 cc standard issue moped with boxes of pizza balanced on an assortment of carriers, one for the vegeterian fanatic, one for a chicken lover and so on when the light turned red and I stopped abruptly. As luck would have it this gal stopped beside me in her new Chevy and my stomach bubbled like the cheese on a pepperoni pizza. How to explain when she shoots?

1) You are participating in an in-house delivery competition for top executives.
2)A mock training-session set up for new in-house executives by top executives like me to test the feasibility of a new delivery-system to transport Veg/Non veg boxes at the same time without offending the sensibilities of the customers.
3) How nice to be apparently seen talking to a Hi-end customer like her by his CEO following behind in the shining merc.
4) Testing for the company what is economically better--moped Vs scooters.
5) You are rehearshing for an advertisement for the product where you are the main actor.
6) you were testing her true love for you whether she can accept you even as a delivery-boy without showing shock and that she has passed with flying colours.

Well, lies don't take you long . Sure enough there is a red light round the corner. So you must have learnt your lesson. Next time you meet a girl just say that you deliver pizzas instead of dropping another fancy job title on her.
This girl will be no less shocked to discover the truth than you are embarassed to be discovered. On the lighter side she might even discover your sense of humour. She might continue to be attracted for your sake and not for your job. You can try and explain your side of the story if you manage to meet her again. She might be convinced and decide to continue - you can always be an optimist. The worst she would do would be to leave you. That isn't much. You can always find another girl closer to your heart and not your purse.

Well dude, technically delivering pizzas does constitute "Italian Cuisine Procurement & Distribution Expert" and the MNC IS Dominoes so you didn't lie to her, you just chose to rephrase :)
If she really likes you she won't bother about your job or anything, she might be a tad peeved at the way you "rephrased" your occupation but that's a trivial matter.
This may be considered a test of whether she truly likes you for who you are and not what you do..!

I totally agree with you - but because this is the hip hop section, I think we just look at that in relation to hip hop. If I was a reg on the Rock section, I'd probably be saying the same thing there, but about rock instead of hip hop. You're 100% right in what you say - but it's not that I focus ALL my feelings about that towards hip hop, it's just that when I'm using the RHH section, I'm talking more in terms of what's going on in hip hop than what's going on in society as a whole. I'm just sad that the fact society has become the way it has that it's had an effect on hip hop too (not ALL of it, but some).

There is no need to explain anything dude. You deliver pizzas and you should be proud of it.. Even spiderman does it.. My point is never think that you are doing a small job.. If she asks you why did you lie then ask her "what lie".. "I love my job and it needs hard work and experience".. Girls love man who are busy and do hard work.. So just dont spend too much time with her.. she will fall for you surely.. also tell her that you meet hot chics regularly when you go for pizza delivery..

Tell her the truth because if you lie it off again and she finds out then she's going to be really mad at you. So, might as well tell her the truth right from the beginning. She won't be mad at you for your job, especially if she has feelings for you. So, I say tell her the truth. Or if you don't want to tell her that, you could say you were helping out a friend to earn some money for him. She might feel quite sympathetic for helping him out but once again, I emphasize that if she finds out, then you are a might be quite mad at you. When you try to be shady, what else do you expect? I mean, even if she didn't find out then, at SOME point she'd realize what you really did for a living & she'd only be more upset. Never lie or embellish on things that someone else might find important. I personally wouldn't care, BUT some girls are shallow. If your job bothers her, maybe you weren't meant to be with her anyway.

Instinct tells me you seem to be a smart person (your writing, "plato" etc)...if so, try and impress ladies that find intelligence and wit far more important than your job title.
But if this is still a concern for you, then use your intelligence & wit to get a job you're proud of....a writer perhaps?
