Yes, i got one of these for my cousin when he was about 5 and he absoloutly loved it, he says he could see what was happening in his mind as he was listening and you should of heard his squeal when he heard Jack
Definatley worth the smile on their face too =)

Yes, great idea. If you are trying to get them to read more, this would be a good start. They'll definitely be interested if they're the lead in the book!
Sorry, I thought this was a book, but I've had a second look and it's a CD. If you can get a book with it (to read along with) then yes. But generally recorded stories are for children who can't read yet (aren't they?!)

I think those sorts of books were out when I was little but ot in such a high-tech form. It looks okay, but I think there are better things for a child than this. I would be more tempted to buy them something to make.
Thats just my opinion, obviously you know the child better than me!

Absolutely! Every child likes to hear their name in a story. You might even have your child make a book to go with the story. Ask her or him what they think the story looks like and then when they are done, frame the drawings or staple them together. Great addition to a memory box!!! I got my 2 year old a cd of music with his name in it and he loves it.

totally depends on the child if they like that sort of thing,my little girl is 5 but i would say that this is a little immature but my friends little girl who is the same age it would be good for.opt for crayons and clouring books works everytime.
