So far I 've not given her any outside food (except toddlers food-jars by Cow &gate/ Heinz or others). But it is really getting problematic when we go in holiday. We carry a lot of toddler food jars.Till what age should I carry on this? It really creates propblem when she wants to have her food from our restursnt meal.Recently we are planning to go to Italy. could somebody from there suggest me some good resturant(foods prepared freshly & hygenically) where she can have her meal. Or still I wil should carry all of her food jars for the total trip.

I can understand your point. You just don't know what the person preparing the food may have or if they wash their hands and all. You can't go through life worrying. If you keep her too protected at this age she won't develope a healthy resistance to the small things and may be very prone to illness when she's a little older and begins to eat out all at once.
When you're out try to go to fancy quality restaraunts not little side delis or bistros. Bigger more popular places will have high standards for cleanliness. You can always asks the hotel staff and local people to recommend places. You can also but fresh foods like fruits and wash them for her. They make disinfectant sprays you can carry along to be sure fruit and veggies are safe.
It is probably safe to relax more while still using good judgment. If you were to order something and had even a vague idea that it might not be as good as it should be don't be afraid to send it back and go to another place to eat. Your families health is top priority. Good luck and enjoy your trip and your little one.

My son stopped eating baby food out of a jar at about 11 months. At 2 she should be eating everything that you eat, just in smaller bites, including the meat. She should also be using her own utensils. My son is 21 months and last night ate broccoli, baked chicken (off the bone and cut up) rice, chunks of cantelope and salad. He started using his own utensils about 3 months ago, and this was kind of late. I would sop all together with the baby food and just feed her whatever you are eating as long as it is healthy. Depending on how well she eats, at the restaurants just get her her own little plate, or heck just let her eat it off the table if you have disinfected it, and let her have little spoon fulls and chuncks of your food, or if she is a big eater, order her own kids meal and then take the left overs for snacks later on. We do both for our youngest.

You 2 yr old does not eat table food? My children both ate table food shortly after their first birthday. As long as your baby has teeth she can eat lots of things. Try mashed potatoes and cooked green beans first, but if she handles that well she should be able to eat whatever you want her to. There are a few exceptions to this rule. You shouldn't give a baby under the age of five peanut butter or eggs for allergy reasons, and try not to give her hot dogs or small candies because she could choke. Other than that if she has teeth you can feed her table foods of any kind and she should eat them happily.

She is old enough for table food. She can eat what you eat. Make sure to offer her a variety of foods from all food groups. Since she is not used to eating table foods yet and you are leaving for another country you may want to bring a few things she is used to incase she has any problems w/ the traveling.

wow the dr at 12 months should have told u that she can have table foods now, just dont put any extra seasoning or salt on her portions. Totally go and give her anything u are eating now, shes 2 yrs old she should be fine but make sure its cut up small since shes not used to the tecture of real food. before going on your trip see how she handles real food and play it by ear, im sure she will fine though

I can't believe you are still feeding a 2 year old jarred food. She should be eating whatever you eat for meals, just cut up smaller.

She should have been eating regular food along witht the baby food at about 8 months. ther is no reason to be still feeding her baby food. She really needs to learn how to chew etc. She should have stopped hacing baby food at about 12 months old.

?? Why have you not been giving her "outside food"? At two years old, your baby should be able to eat the exact same thing you're eating at the table- except maybe with less seasonings.
