Yes it can be, or you could have naturally greasy hair.
Try shampoo's for greasy hair and wash your hair every other day.
Washing you hair everday usually gets rid of natural oils in the hair, which is good for you hair/head.
Also, if you condition you hair make sure you condition your hair and not to go near the roots/head!

I'm sure it's a person to person kind of thing. Perhaps your body is overcompensating moisture into your hair because of so many washes, but a remedy would be a shampoo that specifically for oily/greasy hair. Stay away from the moisturizing shampoos. Also, when you condition, just try putting conditioner on the bottom half of your hair towards the ends instead of the top. Good luck!

You can wash your hair everyday as long as you use a good shampoo. Do some research on what "good" is. A good stylist will not only be able to recommend a salon shampoo but also a less expensive store bought shampoo that will give you the same results.
As for the oil.... don't use the shampoos with conditioner in them. If you must use conditioner, use it only on the tips/ends of your hair and not the scalp.
Also, if you use a lot of product in your hair you may need to use a clarifying shampoo to cut through the build up of product.

Sometimes overwashing causes your hair to overcompensate, but it is a more a matter of your genetics. My father has very oily hair, and my mother does not. I inherited my father's hair whereas all my siblings have Mom's normal hair type. I cannot skip a day, like they can.
Try changing your shampoo's. Hands down without a doubt the best I have used is Paul Mitchell Special Tea Tree Shampoo. With that, I can sometimes skip a day if I did not work out or anything. I found it by asking my hairstylist, yours may have others to suggest. This shampoo can be bought at Target or your salon and is a little bit more than something like Pantene, but it goes a lot farther. My hair is down to my waist and I only have to buy it once every six months or so if I buy the litre bottle.
The other thing I found is that you may want to be careful not to condition the top of your head very often, only condition the bottom, if you have longer hair.
Good luck; Happy St. Paddy's Day!
Cheers!

How often hair should be washed depends on the hair. Very dry hair, for example, should not be washed every day but can be washed every 2 to 3 days especially if heat appliances are to be used afterward. Yours sounds like oily hair and you can shampoo daily using a product meant for oily hair. To protect the ends from overdrying, apply shampoo to the oily roots only and let it sit for a few minutes. Before rinsing, work the shampoo through the rest of your hair. Use cool to warm water. Use care in selecting a conditioner that won't add oil to your hair. Daily washing does not make hair oily.

No, it's not unhealthy. If you are a teen, then an oily scalp is normal (not that all teens have oily hair, but it's normal if you do). If your hair is oily, it can take the daily washing. And who wants greasy hair? Wash every day if that's whats best for your hair. When I was a teen, I had an older relative tell me that my hair was going to fall out because I washed every day. I'm not bald yet.

Corina and Lalala are right, the hair is not suppoused to be washed everyday, it is needed to do only every number of days, like 4 or 5, the hair needs to breath and get dirty enough, for you to wash it again. You can use some shampoo, that helps against the greasyness, or whatever you have , but you completley don't need to use it everyday.

You are supposed to wash your hair everyday. Over-use of conditioner could cause the top to be greasy. I never use conditioner on the top of my head. Shampoo eliminates grease, it doesn't create it.
