Yes if the gases are from a cigarette. I'm sure you've seen the commerical. It's so funny!! The baby passes some pretty heafty gas I'm sure and I 've never heard or read a Death Cetificate that Stated Cause of Death-To many Years of Comsumption of Gas or Farts-whatever!! If that's the case they might as well get the grave sight ready for me then. We've wilted some flowers and the dogs run off a few times although his is just as bad, but he doesn't think they are, everyones a Critic.Shucks everybody passes Gas. For god Sake, even after you are dead gas will emit from your body, worked in a Funeral Home for a while so I've seen it. If you're too prissy to pass, be sure you probably will when you are dead, Only You and Your Funeral Director and Embalmer will know for sure-but you will - prissy or not!!

When a person has gas it's a natural bodily function.
I don't think it can cause a problem for a baby only if a doctor tells you it does.
Some people eat too fast and swallow air that causes excess gas.
Others eat too many foods that make gas in your intestines like cabbage, brussel sprouts, fried foods, onions and other foods.
You can cut back on these foods and see if this stops the gas.
One danger is the SOUND...when someone "farts" if it's LOUD..it can startle you...and make you jump! So that could frighten a baby! Poor child!
Some "farts" are deadly with a terrible odor and sends you out of the room. I'd say that could be very hard for anyone to stay in the room under those conditions.
In closing it would be a good idea for anyone who has this health problem to eat slower, cut back on gassy foods, drink more water, get out in the fresh air and take a walk....air yourself out before you go in around people of all ages.
F is for friends you want to keep....A is for air you need to breath....R is for relief after it goes away.....and T is for "thank you " for not farting around me....lol

It is true. My sister asked her doctor, because she has gas a lot, I know it sounds lame, but it's true.... and she was supposed to let us all know that we could not fart around my niece... it's some type of fumes that are not safe for them to inhale... because their lungs don't need to fight it off... weird.
